ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct.

Reuben walked out and into a field. On the other side was a familiar white haired kid with icy eyes. They both drew their weapons.
"Cloud, what a pleasant surprise." Reuben called out.
"You don't look happy to see me." Cloud said.
"You're a menace." Reuben said through gritted teeth.
"Are you refering to that incident with that fool? Ha, funny. I still have the scars." Cloud laughed.
"I'll make sure you don't get away."

Adrian had been out and about doing basically nothing when the echo of Reuben's voice caught her ear. Curious, she decided to see who in the world he could possibly be talking to. Then, she saw them: Reuben and Cloud with their weapons drawn. What in the world? She asked herself, only remembering seeing Cloud once before forever ago.

Reuben rushed forward and Cloud met him with a clang of his cutlass. They both clashed for a couple more moments before Cloud ducked under Reuben's slash and hit him with his hilt. Reuben leaped back and braced as Cloud ran forward with a spin.

Skye was without Darren again. Wandering aimlessly through wherever her feet lead. But then she heard voices. She turned to see two people fighting. She didn't notice until seconds later that it was him! That white-haired boy! He was fighting Reuben!

Reuben ducked and Cloud rolled over Reuben's back but back on his feet. Reuben turned to see Skye and Adrian. "Get back-" He couldn't finish as Cloud punched him in the stomach.

Reuben kicked his leg and sent Cloud tumbling back. As Cloud fell, Reuben lifted his sword and prepared to stab him when Cloud sent a hand out and gripped Reuben's neck.

Adrian could only stare at the two fighting. What was going on? Why were they fighting like that? There were so many questions swimming through her head that she finally zoned back into what was happening when Cloud had Reuben by his throat. Appalled by what was going on, Adrian unsheathed her sword and prepared to run at Cloud, but her feet were frozen in place. The shock had gotten to her too badly. "Stop!" She screamed. "Stop fighting!"

Reuben stabbed down, missing Cloud's neck by inches. Reuben collapsed, and Cloud jumped to his feet. Reuben slowly got up. "You're better then what I expected." Reuben pulled his sword from the ground. "Same." He rasped.

Darren ran to Skye, who was still motionless in fear. "Skye? Skye are you ok?" Skye looked at him, but said nothing. "Skye? Skye? Why are you crying?" Darren asked concerned.

They both ran for each other, when Baby appeared on Adrian's shoulder. He jumped off and swung it's claws out at Cloud.

Cloud dodged, taking out a vile. He stared at the group around them. He broke the glass bottle in front of Reuben's face, making him collapse in a deep sleep. He ran over, kicking Baby out of the way, and grabbed Skye by her shirt and threw her to the ground. "You told them, didn't you?!"

Skye was frightened to death. "NO! I SWEAR!" She screamed. Darren turned Cloud. "WHO ARE YOU?! WHY ARE YOU HURTING MY SISTER?!" Skye looked up at them. "See?" She said trembling. "If I had told ANYONE, at least my own brother would know!" I tell him everything."
"Tell me what" Darren said, confused. "Who is he?"

Skye was curled on the ground, trembling and crying. Darren went to her side. "It's ok Skye... You don't have to tell me..." He whispered. Skye was deep in thought. She wouldn't do that to someone who saved her life.

He went to blow into the whistle, and a large shadow monster appeared, hypnotized into Cloud's bidding.

Adrian stared at Cloud before the huge monster appeared behind him. Finally getting the courage to move, she turned to face it with her sword ready. "Well whoever this guy is isn't working with us..." She said back to Darren and Skye before charging at the monster to distract it from the others.

Skye stopped crying and picked up her sword, her face emotionless. Her golden eyes fixed at the monster. She quickly ran to it very fast, gripping her sword about to slashed it. Darren looked at her run. Skye has always been a fast runner, and suprisingly strong. She will be sensitive at times, but she will be pretty brave, especially if people are in danger. As for Darren... Seriously? The boy's afraid of squirrels!

Cloud watched with a smile. He walked over and picked up Reuben by his shirt, and started to drag him away with a cutlass to his throat.

Skye stoped dead in her tracks. She ran at Cloud, knocking him down, and dropping the cutlass. She pinned him down, her sword at his throat.

Cloud threw a vile in her face, and it exploded into a cloud of suffocating smoke. Cloud squirmed from under her and grabbed his cutlass, again grabbing Reuben.
