ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct.

Loki's new pet

Loki hadn't talked since the walk home. He simply ambled up Formark Avenue, for he thought it could help him with his fading injury better. He only walked with a slight limp, and swayed his arms as he took in the scenery. Suddenly, he hear something he hadn't hear in some time. Tweet!

Loki was startled, and jumped backwards. He hadn't gotten used to the new people yet. "Listen..." he whispered. The tweeting continued.

Reuben had been looking for the whistle secretly. His chest still throbbed from his wound. He noticed Loki and Annabelle walked up to them, dragging a struggling Baby behind him in a knee sock leash.

Loki didn't notice Reuben, and stared to walk forward towards the sound. He ended up hearing it in a dead tree. "Hmm..." he said, and put his hands up to the bark. He started climbing.

Head damage..? Loki thought. Was he really that crazy? ignoring the pain in his stomach area, he climbed to the top of the tree, and found a little blue puff at the edge of the middle branch.

Loki, staring at the puff, poked it. The puff unravelled, and revealed itself as a brilliant Bluejay. It looked at Loki and chirped.

Loki ignored her, outstretching his hand. The small bird examined his palm, realised it was safe, then hopped on. Loki jumped down from the middle way branch.

Loki unclenched his palm to reveal the small bluejay. It tilted it's fluffy head at Annabelle, then peeped.

Baby jumped out and bared it's teeth inches from the bluejay, before he was pulled back by a swift jerk by Reuben. He looked sadly as Baby started to try to bite his leg. He looked at the bluejay curiously. "Are you planning on keeping it?" He asked calmly.

A sudden rustling in the bushes disturbed the blue jay from it's joyful flight. The rustling grew louder and louder, until a black haired girl fell out of the waxy-leaved bushes and smacked with a thud on the road of Formark Avenue, her hair pooling around her like a puddle of black blood. Lily Conrade sat on the warm concrete, unconscious.

Loki jumped back. "I-it's her!" he exclaimed, checking her pulse by placing two fingers over her neck. it was thready. "Let's get her back." he said. "You come along also, bluejay." he then thought. "How about I call you Kisa.."

Multiple cuts covered Lily's already scarred arms. Grim covered her cheeks and noticeable tear stains rain through them. Her eye lids fluttered a bit as they picked her up, but her head still drooped.

As they lifted her, a dripping sound began. On further examination, there was a dagger stuck in Lily's skin, right under her heart. The tip of the silver knife stuck out of her back, an inch or so. Her black shirt was stained with scarlet blood, under neath her sweater.

"Shit!" Loki cursed. Kisa started pulling at the dagger. "No!" said Loki. "That could cause her to bleed to death. Keeping it in there keeps all the remaining blood in."

Lily's lips quivered and she let out a moan. Her fingers twitched as the bird pulled on the dagger. "Where am I?" She mumbled, not completely awake, and not completely asleep. Her eyes opened just a crack, her eyes lashed blocking her view. Her hand inched its way up her chest, until it brushed the dagger. "Wha-, what's going on." Her voice sounded fainter.
