ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct.

The Shadow Strikes Back

Reuben walked down the street, his eyes desperately taking in every detail. There had to be a whistle somewhere. He kept looking, when he felt a sharp pain in the back of his neck. He crumpled to his knees grasping the ground with one hand, not wanting to accidentally hurt Baby if he tried to remove him.

Annabelle round house kicked Baby off Reuben. She helped him up. "You can't be too relaxed around him. He still wants to kill you." She told him.

Annabelle turned to look at the two girls that appeared. They seemed off and she just couldn't help but want to hate them. They were like the two little twin girls in the movie The Shining. She choked down an insult and rushed to collect Baby.

Reuben looked after as Baby flew. A Nightcrawler jumped out and Baby slashed it across the face and sent it backwards. "But..." He couldn't argue with them. He knew they were right.

Annabelle picked up Baby and looked at Lily. "Reuben's pet shadow." He squirmed and tried to bite her but her grip was firm on the back of his neck. It was like holding a cat by its scruff.

Annabelle tensed up slightly when Danielle came close, but it was unnoticeable. She kept her stare on Baby as he fought to get out of her hand.

Annabelle swallowed. "He's a little below fine. But he'll bounce back." She was uncomfortable with how friendly the other girl was towards Reuben. She made a mental note to tell Skylar. Who happened to be walking toward them.

Reuben shook his head at the mention of Skylar. He looked up at Skylar as she walked up and stood. He looked around. He was uncomfortable, feeling the tension. "W-what..." He turned to Lily. "I-I have no idea...." He looked surprised as Skylar kissed him. Holy shit...

Lily looked at Danielle, no really noticing her before. She starred a moment, then screamed. "WHAT THE HELL, WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND LET HER OVER HERE!" She jumped behind Annabelle. "Keep her away from me, dear God." She whispered.
