ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct.

It was dark. Way to dark for the Wal-Mart. Way to dark for the forest. Defiantly way to dark for Windbreak Park, and that was the last place Lily remembered being. She opened her eyes, but it was just as dark with them shut. She knew it now. She was in the Shadow Fortress. Her arms were chained to a wall so that she couldn't wrap them around her body.

A tall slender male sat outside, sighing. He had a hand on his knee, and his chin plopped onto his hand, but his face wasn't visible from where Lily was.

The man perked up and turned around. He looked around 18, with blonde hair and purple eyes. Purple eyes were one of the signs of a half-blood. He looked incredibly bored. "Oh..you're awake." he muttered. He had some sort of bandanna type thing over his neck, and lifted it over his mouth.

Just then a pair of long tan legs shed light into the dim dungeon. A girl with waist length, jet black hair stepped inside. Her eyes were darker than the night sky, and she frowned a pair of plump red lips at Calder. "Where have you been? Here? You were suppose to meet me outside fifteen minutes ago." She complained, placing a delicate hand on one curvy hip. The girl looked like she belongs on the catwalk, not in the musty dungeon. Lily blinked. "Hi." She said. "Shut up." The girl with the high cheek bones said, flashing white teeth at Lily.
