The remake of ATA, when the human race goes endangered.

ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct. This is the Prolouge of ATA. Help make the story.

Reuben watched from the sidelines. The chain was still clenched in his hand. He was unable to carry Sorren due to his arm, and he felt the familiar feeling of uselessness tug at him.

Adrian had followed quietly behind Loki and Reuben, trying to keep tears from escaping her eyes. She then watched sadly as Casper placed Sorren in the casket. Why must there be another death? I'm doing terrible at keeping my promise... She thought.

Reuben looked around nervously. He stepped forward. He was extremely bad at these kind of things. "Sorren... You were a good friend and fighter. We will suffer loss without you fighting with us, and your bright humor will always be missed. Rest in peace."

Casper spoke after Reuben. "I didn't know Sorren. But when I heard everyone talk about him, he had a good spirit. I hope it may come back to us, though maybe in a different form, and that I may have known him better."

Bella sniffled, crying. She didn't know Sorren very well, but she would miss him. She held onto Adrian's arm, wrapping her arms around it like she was a little girl again.

Annabelle coughed, clearing her throat. "I took Sorren's presence for granted. I feel awful for that. I'll miss how he joked around with me calling me 'Hot stuff'." she rolled her eyes at that and laughed. Her voice started to break though. "I just wish he hadn't gone so soon. I would've liked to know him better than I do now." Tears dripped from her face onto her dress.

Loki looked down. "I was in the Shadow Fortress, and hear a boom. When I blasted through the door, the first thing I see is this guy, rubbing his head." he smiled weakly. "Every since then, I had a feeling we'd be friends. He was always there to help, and always had my back."
He was cut off as it started to rain. He looked up, extending a hand. "This guy was a great team mate, and may he rest in peace."

"Alright. Let's go." Loki said, walking away with the group. He didn't notice the gleaming over Sorren's grave, or how it sunk into the muddy dirt, due to the rain.

Casper turned to look at her. What he saw was out into the graveyard. He didn't see the girl who had come up to him. He turned his head until he was looking to the direction of the Walmart. "Oh, I'm fine. I'm not as bad as the others."
