The remake of ATA, when the human race goes endangered.

ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct. This is the Prolouge of ATA. Help make the story.

Mel sat beside the big hole in the rode, her cloak hiding her face and protecting her features. In her hand was a sketch pad, something that hadn't seen light for years. Already the pages were filled with ways of torture and other things Mel had going through her mind. Her picture currently had nothing like that though. The picture was one of a long corridor, the walls closing in yet stretching out at the same time. At the end of this corridor, was a door. She had a haze like glow around this door, like something bad was located behind it.

Annabelle was walking down the street softly. A sword was firm in her hand. She didn't trust the streets out here. Her eyes stayed at the ground though.

Mel could hear footfalls behind her, but they were somewhat oo loud for a shadow, so she didnt bother turning. Why would she care anyways? Life worked in weird ways, and for some reason mel didnt care about life anymore.

She paid no attention. Almost done with her picture, Mel worked on the glow. Something was missing, she just couldnt tell what.

Annabelle's eyes softened when she saw the figure was human but they fired up again when she saw Melinoe. "You." she growled.

Melinoe shook her head, "Nothing." she said quietly. Glancing away, Mels eyes traveled to a placeon the ground a few yards from where she stood. Not seeing anythine, she looked back at Annabelle.
