The remake of ATA, when the human race goes endangered.

ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct. This is the Prolouge of ATA. Help make the story.

Loud crashing noises came from the crumbled ruins of a home. There was no roof left on it, and the bodies of the family still lay about, but that didn't bother the teen. He had seen more than enough to become used to the blood and gore. No, he was here for the valuable items that had managed to survive.
Darren hurried through drawers in a dresser, finding nothing but a tiny pair of diamond earrings, which he figured was better than nothing. He finished with the upstairs, and stomped downstairs, completely unaware that people actually lived in this town.

She was getting flashbacks of the whippings she'd received from being somewhere she wasn't supposed to. She flinched. She noticed Loki and gave him a thankful smile.

"Trying to collect souveniers,." He held up the earrings he had gotten earlier, the sunlight hitting them just right.

"Why does it even matter?" Darren demanded. He was acting casual, but he was watching Loki's every move. The thief definitely had the size advantage. "I'll just be on my merry way, with these valuables that don't belong to you, and we don't have to worry about any harm! It's a win-win situation!" A sadistic grin crossed his face.

Crying out, Darren fell to that knee, but also used it to his advantage. He stabbed the sword upwards, knowing he had to hit something.

The sword slashed Loki's torso. He winced, but returned the favor with a swift kick to the face. He didn't use swords when he didn't need to. They spilled more blood.

Darren was knocked backwards, his sword falling out of his hand.
Alright, he wants dirty, then we'll get dirty.
Kicking out, his foot hit Loki's knee, popping it backwards and giving him time to get back up.
