ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct.

Being alone

Chelsea sat in the swing looking at the ground. She was happy to be alone, but didn't like it at the same time. She looked up as she heard a sound. She wondered who or what it was.

It was a half starved squirrel. Suddenly, though, as that caught her attention, someone started pushing her swing for her. His hood hid his eyes, and he wore a teasing grin.

She enjoyed it for a moment but began to wondered who it was. She turned her head and noticed the hood. Just because of the hood she knew who it was. She faced forward again and enjoyed the swinging.

"Hmph." Ari seemed amused to tell the story. "They wanted me to join the Walmart. I myself didn't want to, though. But, I gave them a test, seeing if they could handle me at my worst. And, you probably can guess what happened next. I mindfucked them all and almost got into a fight with doctor boy."

Ari blinked. "I didn't hypnotise them!" his impatient tone was louder than usual. "I simply confused them by uncovering truths and secrets revealed by their body language and countenance, while tossing out clever comebacks and facts whenever they answered or got cross."

She sighed, "I don't really like to talk about it....." She tuned to him. Her usually bright eyes where dull. "I was yelled at a lot by my parents, and other people at school." Trying to brief up the story because like she said before, she didn't really like to talk about it.

She turned around "Ah... you cheater, you planned ahead again...." She stood up looked around an noticed a shadow in a bush. She pulled out her bow and quickly shot it.

She scanned the area more making sure there were no more shadows, but there probably were that were out sight. She looked at him, she could tackle him right now.

Ari looked purposely innocent, so it was a possibility. He sat on the ground, hands behind him. His hood fell from his head.
