Lurking Silence

Amethyst walked into a large home on Formark Avenue. She silently crept along the edges of the carpet for humans remains were everywhere in the middle of the first room. She was holding her breath. Trying not to inhale their stench. From the looks of it, they had been there a while. She finally got to the door and opened it to find nightcrawlers rummaging through everything in a large kitchen, leaving claw markings on the refrigerator, cabinets, and counters. She untied her silver scythe from her back and slashed through one of the nightcrawlers, alerting the others in the process. Her silence was unnatural. She had finished them in a snap and found a servants stairwell behind a door beside the fridge. She walked up them, not making a single sound. She opened the first door on her right to reveal a bedroom.

The room was quite large, and held a bed. On that bed, was a boy. He looked about sixteen, and the shadows didn't seem to mind a human lay in their presence. He was asleep.

Amethyst cocked her head silently before killing the little shadows that were clustered into the room. She walked over to the bed and put a soft finger on the boys forehead. She traced his facial features. She was mesmerized by every detail.

The boy stirred after contact, and his eyes flicked open. He backed up to the base of the bed. "W-who are you!?"

Amethyst gave him a small smile but did not speak. She made an X with her fingers and put it in front of her mouth.

The boy was trembling. He held out his hand, an all of a sudden, a sword appeared out of nowhere. He examined it with wide eyes, but quickly held it up.

Amethyst's lips went into a straight line. She held up her scythe but only to tie it back to her back. She hoped it would show the boy she ment no harm.

Loki stood there for a few seconds, before dropping the sword, collapsing to his knees. "Who........am I?"

Amethyst silently went to his side. She picked up the sword and tossed it aside. Grabbing his hand she walked him over to a picture that hung on the wall. The boy in it looked an awful lot like him.

OOC: Just... Kinda making it happen XD

The picture showed him as a little kid. A bloody hand print lay on the side. The boy stared at it. "I don't remember..." he whispered.

Amethyst looked down at her feet. She didn't know what she could do to help the boy. She noticed a pencil and pad of paper on the ground. She picked them up and started to write.

He turned to her. "Who exactly....are you?" the boy asked again. He had an insanely confused look n his face, mixed with terror. He didn't know anything. His mind was completely blank as he searched for memories. None...

Amethyst looked up before showing the pad of paper. It read....
My name is Amethyst Wolf.

Loki nodded. Thank god he could read. Falling purposely onto the bed, he whispered: "Loki.....Loki Whitefield."
He immediately stood up. That must have been his name. Something he remembered.

Amethyst smiled. She took the pad from him and wrote again. She showed it to him when she was done.
Nice name. I'm sorry I'm not much of a person to talk to.

"I see." Loki replied quietly. He began walking through the house. He was looking at pictures. They each had a bloody hand print. Without thinking, he slowly put his hand up to one. The prints were exactly the size of his hand. He backed away in terror.

Amethyst silently followed him. She tilted her head at him, as if to ask, What?

Loki still said nothing, face full of shock. "....let's get out of here...."

OOC:I have a feeling Loki is going so become her translator

IC: Amethyst nodded and started to walk toward the Servant Stairwell.

Loki seemed repelled against this place the more he was there, and found himself running to the exit. He pushed open the door and started panting.

Amethyst followed him until they were out. She put a hand on his shoulder, her eyes filled with worry.

"I'm fine.." Loki told her wearily. "I just feel something ominious about that house..."

Amethyst nodded. She pocketed the pencil and pad of paper. She pointed to another street and started walking towards it.
