Amethyst smiled sweetly before turning to jog away. She didn't want them to die by being killed by the Shadow King. So she was going to kill him herself.

Loki tried to run after her, but a couple of nightcrawlers intercepted them. "Damnit!" he cursed.

Reuben dashed forward and slashed through a Nightcrawler, creating a small outlet. "I'll take the shadows, you get Amethyst." He parried a slash of claws and kicked it away to strike.

Adrian smiled slightly at him before slicing the Nightcrawler she was battling with in half. She then turned on another. "Come on," she taunted. "You've got to be better than that!"
