ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct.

Blinking lights outside the school suggested there was a Parent/Teacher Conference that would never happen in this school. it was overrun by shadows, and all the children there died. Loki walked up to it, with Kisa on his shoulder. it was an eerie and large plot, with a church in the back. Sorren came up behind him. "What are you doing?" he asked, making Loki jump. "Jesus Christ, you gave me a heart attack!" Loki screamed, making Sorren grin at a job well done. "And I'm going exploring. Might as well."
Sorren withdrew his spear, spinning it. "I'll join you." he said.

Reuben walked up. Baby was being dragged along, he no longer tried to kill Reuben, though he didn't seem to enjoy it. "Mind if I come?" He hoped desperately that the whistle would be here. It seemed logical.

Sorren had vowed to be more polite, after seeing Annabelle once pretty upset over something. "Reuben. Annabelle." he greeted with a nod. Loki nodded. "It's always great to have company. Let's go, shall we?"

Reuben nodded. Baby looked at the school and what seemed like a smile spread across his face. Shadow mating ground. He mouthed to himself.

Loki walked forward, followed by Sorren, and he cautiously opened the door. A creeeeeek sounded, and a few bats flew, followed by screeches of Shadow Spiders.

Reuben stepped inside carefully. He wondered if the Reaper had regenerated(?) yet. He looked at the eggs lining the walls, and De Ja Vu hit him. The movie Alien came to mind.

Loki glanced around, obviously disgusted. Though, suddenly, a classroom door creaked open. Sorren went to investigate it. The whole place had skeletons and blood covering it. The chalkboard had 'Diiiiieee' written in blood. Sorren almost vomited, backing away quick.

Baby started to walk around, looking at the shadows by the walls with that same smile. Reuben gagged, but Baby seemed so at home. "I'm going to throw up..." Reuben pushed his way out, dragging a now protesting shadow.

Reuben looked down the hall when his grip on the leash slacked. Baby bolted off, and he saw a shadow with him in the distance. "Ew..." He shuddered, before giving chase.

Reuben swiped his hand out, snatching Baby in his hand. "Gotcha-Whoa!" He slipped, when he looked up to see a Nightcrawler standing over him. "Holy shit!" He threw his shadow friend up, and it latched on the Nightcrawler's face in instinct.

Sorren said nothing, realising she did it again. Loki ran over to help Reuben, and was surprised to see Baby latch on to the Nightcrawler's face.

Reuben peeled Baby off of the Nightcrawler's face slowly. The Nightcrawler looked shocked and a little pissed. "Sorry..." He said, before decapitating the Nightcrawler in a swift blow.

Sorren and Loki both examined the lockers on both sides of the place. Sorren smirked, holding up a crumpled 20 dollar bill. "If everyone wasn't dead, I'd so be taking this." he said, grinning.
