ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct.

Can You Hear the Music?

Holding her small hand on her pistol's handle, Melody cautiously turned onto a street. It looked vacant, almost completely empty, except for abandoned cars here and there, overturned, charred, and broken. Still, the blonde-haired girl didn't let her guard down. She had her eyes wide open and her ears listening intently.

Casper walked down the road, as if nothing were to happen, complete opposite of the girl. He soon came to a corner by a store, and saw the girl there.

Lily walked with purpose, her bow strung with an arrow, feathers included. Her bruise colored eyes were peeled, as she watched, a girl walked silently down the street. She hide behind a tree. Her blacker-than-night hair contrasted the lush greenery around her. Legs ready to pounce, she crouched.

Down the street walked Sorren, walking in the opposite directing of melody. He had his spear in his hand, and his black hair was messy. Sorren had just come back from a hard day of destroying shadows, and was heading back to the Walmart, whistling.

Those steps back lead directly to Lily who ceased her chance, and ran to the girl, kicking the gun out of her hand, and Sorren's way, then pulling up her bow, strung. "He said to put it away." She hissed, standing inbetween Melody and Sorren.

"Oh boo hoo. We have plenty of spares back at camp. That is if we let you in." She hissed back, her violet eyes violently looking this girl up and down. "Let me guess. You came to win the Miss Honey and Sugar competition. Sorry darlin, but I don't think they'd be lettin in girls who bring guns in." She laughed, her country accent taking over.

Lily's blacker-than-night hair untucked itself causing a silky black curtain to fall over the sides of her face. Her razor slashed bangs fell into her spiky dark eye-lashes. "Really? Darlin, I've been through hell and back, and that was before this damned Apocalypse happened. Way before that happened. I'm sure that I know exactly what I'm messin with." She said the sugar sweetness seeping out of her voice, leaving a cold glass shattering voice.

Lily smiled sarcastically. "Oh great. Maybe they smelled your shampoo." She said, looking a Melody, then firing an arrow into the head off a shadow. It disappeared into a plume of smoke. She ran after the rest, pulling a ninja star out of her pocket, and cutting at ones neck.

"The Walmart's beginning to get crowded. " A lonely voice sounded from the darkness. Spiraling, Shadowfire, bored, he glided next to Aaron and then over to Melody. Face to face, he peered his now light blue eyes into her eyes.
(His eyes used to be black-red, but as he changed sides, they're gradually getting lighter :D)
