Snow Snow, go away, come again another day...

The snow covered them as they scurried across the floor. Sorren and Loki had their backs against each other. "Fuck.." Loki breathed. Sorren kept his eyes on the snow, as it continued to fall. Snow was the greatest Shadow weapon. And in a cold world, it was plentiful.

From behind a pile of rubble, Melody silently loaded her gun. She had come looking for Sorren, and, thankfully, found him before he was getting mauled. For a moment, she paused, catching her breath, working up the courage to attack. Finally, she looked around the corner and fired a bullet, straight into one of the beasts.

OOC:Oh, sorry. The scurrying things are Nightcrawlers. They are under the snow, circling Loki and Sorren.

Another took it's place. They were literally in the sidewalk, ready for the humans to grow weary. They liked prey helpless. Loki was devising options in his mind. Suddenly, a humanoid figure appeared, laughing. "General Loki Whitefield. You are arrested for treason."
The man had a shadow aura, and red eyes. His scarf was as black as his hair, and he held a bow made from shadow energy. Loki gaped. "It's you..."

Adrian had been out in the streets since it had started snowing. As always, her sword hung from her side, nice and sharp. She had been observing the surrounding area for where she came from, it hardly ever snowed. In other words snow was like magic to her. As she walked she became more aware of how odd the feeling in the air felt. Finally she spotted the group of four out in the distance. Her attempts in trying to see what was going on failed, but as she drew closer she could make out Loki and Sorren standing in the street with an unfamiliar figure. "What the-?" She tried to ask but in seconds she was surrounded by shadows of her own who had strayed away from the group in front of her. "Fu..dge cakes..." She grumbled nervously as she pulled out her sword to attack.

The shady man grinned, red eyes glinting in the dark clouds. "Indeed. You thought I was dead, didn't you?"
Loki felt memories returning from his past as a shadow. "Of course! You died right in front of me, damnit!" he yelled.

Melody ran over to hide behind a car, crouching in its protective shadow. She shivered in her thing jacket, and at the eerie voice of the strange figure standing in front of Loki and Sorren.

Sorren looked dumbfounded. "Who is that, Loki?" he asked. Loki sighed. "That is my dead half brother. His name is Odin Whitefield"
he looked in Odin's eyes angrily as he pulled two shadow duel swords. "Loki, I must ask you something." he sighed. "When the shadow king revived me, the first thing I asked was 'where is my brother'. Now I know, I guess."
With incredible speed, he ran at Loki. Their swords collided, the they both glared daggers at each other, struggling under the weight of the swords.

At that point, Melody came out holding her gun up.
"Hey, over here!" she yelled, distracting the guardian shadows from Sorren and Adrian.

Darren and Skye were nearby watching and listening to everything. Suspecting an attack, Skye put her hand over her sword.

Odin didn't look. As a general, he was better than that. He uppercut his sword, bringing Loki's sword up, and slashed across his torso. It was a shallow slash, but still hurt. Loki got back into a fighting stance.

Some of the shadows that were forming a circle around Adrian glanced back to see Melody with her gun. Adrian, seeing that they were distracted took that into her advantage. Quickly she ran at them, slashing at the shadows sideways, cutting through two and seriously injuring another. The injured shadow lost its balance and fell backwards, landing on its back. Adrian jumped over to it and quickly stabbed it through before the other surprised shadows were charging towards her.

Loki jabbed his sword forward to Odin, but Odin dodged, grabbing Loki's arm. He flipped him, and Loki's sword disappeared. Loki summoned it once more, panting. How did he get this powerful... he thought. I have to stop him!

Sorren blocked various strikes, holding off the Nightcrawlers pretty well.

Melody shot at a few of the Nightcrawlers, but she hadn't fought them in this number before. There seemed to be almost too many, and she hadn't brought extra ammunition.

Sorren noticed that Melody was struggling, and started to help with her Nightcrawlers, grinning. "Let's show them whose boss!"

Seeing Sorren's attitude, Melody began to smile a little. She carefully aimed each shot, making sure it was a direct hit each time.

Adrian carefully maneuvered through a lot of the shadows, stabbing each one quickly before more took their place. After only a few minutes of this, she started growing very tired: Her arms and legs ached from swinging her sword and dodging so much, and the sweat that began to develop didn't help much in the cold. "If only I could share your optimism, Sorren..." she mumbled.

"I'll rub a bit off, if you'd like." he sighed, impaling a shadow. He kicked it into another, and they both disappeared.

Odin removed something from his belt. It was a cylinder, and when he released it, it flew towards Loki. The ex-shadow tried to dodge, but it was too fast, and it exploded on Loki. At first, he blinked, wondering what exactly happened, but suddenly, he held onto his head. A shadow aura pulsed around him, and he screamed. His sword disappeared. "Hmph, I am temporarily enabling your shadow side." laughed Odin, kneeing his half-brother in the stomach. The scars from the battle with Luna still remained there. "That means half of your soul is gone. You are unable to attack with your sword, or anything for that matter."
He held Loki by the neck, slamming him into a wall. "Hurts, doesn't it?" he laughed, drawing one of his duel swords.

Melody froze, her gun held up, to look at what was going on in the main scene. She stifled a cry when Loki got slammed into the wall.

Adrian froze when she heard Loki scream. Immediately she turned around to see what was going on and actually did scream when she saw Loki. "Leave him alone!" She shouted as she slashed and stabbed her way through the shadows and the snow towards Odin.

Odin didn't look at her. He was bracing for a stab, grinning maniacally.

And a stab was what he got. She finally managed to break through the wall of shadows between her and them, and she ran straight for Odin, shoving her sword into his back. But her aim was a little off so it was more of his side than right in the middle.

Odin winced, dropping Loki, who got up slowly, leaning against the enormous rock to his side. He had one hand on his head. "Adrian..." he whispered. Odin frowned, straightening up. His wound was closing in the matter of seconds. "I'm sorry, take a number. I'll kill him, then kill y-"
He was interrupted when Loki put him in a neck hold, planning to knock him out. Having a hostage wasn't bad. And he was ready for something in particular. Odin teleported in back of Loki, but Loki kicked him into the rock, and caught a glistening in Odin's hand. He had a shard of the revival orb in it. "That's why he isn't dying he rasped, and then winced. He was half-dead, lacking part of his soul.

Melody felt so confused, but she had heard talk of the orb. Slowly, she lowered her gun. Everybody seemed to be watching Odin and Loki anyways.
