Kai stood up slowly. He grasped the medallion. "I am of the Hunter line, proud assassins for the Queen. I took this in order to redeem our honor." he shook his head. "Halfblood? Not yet at least. I haven't exactly confronted the King of my mission."

"A Hunter? The King?" She questioned, still quite confused, yet she relaxed again. "You mean the Shadow King?"

"Is that so?" he took out his gun and pointed it at Adrian. "So you're a half-blood, Loki is it?

Adrian froze, her muscles tensing suddenly and her eyes growing wide at the sight of the gun pointed straight at her. She then moved her gaze frantically to Loki before it flashed back toward the 'lovely' weapon.

"Oh, we have some love-tension here?" he said, staring at Loki as he fired his revolver straight at Adrian.

At first, the sound of the shot stunned her and then came the pain. A loud scream resonated throughout the place as Adrian crumpled onto the ground, her hands clenching a spot in her right shoulder just barely above her chest. Blood almost immediately seeped through her fingers and onto the ground as she stifled yet another scream.

"Adrian!"
Instead of attacking Kai, he rushed towards Adrian. "Crap..we need to get you inside." he whispered to her. Only after that did Loki turn towards Kai, and reappeared 2 feet infront of him. He ripped open his stitches, reopening Kai's stomach wound. His eyes were narrowed.

Kai stumbled backwards and fell. He lifted his gun and shot blindly at where he thought Loki was at.

Adrian cringed at the next gunshot, expecting it to hit her again but it didn't thankfully. Through terrible pain and tear-filled eyes she watched Loki and Kai. Be careful...

The gunshot dumbly bounced off a tree as he ran back towards Adrian. He lifted her, and started to carry her into the Walmart. He held a determined expression.

Reuben began to chase after Kai but was stopped by a quick pain. Kai had shot him in the foot. "Now, that was delightful. I must visit again sometime." with that he ran off.

Loki layed Adrian onto one of the tables in the Infirmary. He started cleaning the gunshot with alcohol.

Adrian cringed and cried out from pain when the alcohol touched her skin. Her breathing started to turn short and ragged as she looked at Loki with blurred tear-blurred vision before closing her eyes. "It hurts...." She cried.

Loki held a wistful expression. "Not for long. I'll get you better.." he whispered. "I promise.."
He then got a needle. "Sorry.." he breathed, and pricked her neck with it. It would be painful to go through the stitching awake.

Reuben limped away. He began to follow a thin blood trail left by Kai. That and he wanted to get somewhere to treat his foot without Loki there to heal him. He always seemed to be working over time.

Loki began to work on the wound, feeling a tad bit awkward that he had to pull half of Adrian's shirt down to get to the wound. Then again, he's done this many times before. He threaded the needle into her skin, while draping a towel over it to stop the bleeding.

Loki wiped sweat from his forehead after he was finished stitching the wound, and quickly lifted Adrian's shirt up. He was to make sure not to ever tell her that part. He took some smelling salts from his new supply, and waved them in front of Adrian's nose.
