ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct.

Baby opened his eyes. It was about 3:00 AM and everyone seemed asleep; from what Baby could see anyways. He silently crawled out of the sock that Reuben stuffed him in and crawled over his sleeping form. He scampered past the empty spot past him and away from the dying fire. He went near Loki's bench and gazed curiously at the bird at his side. He prodded the jay.

Kisa fluffed up, and peeped at Baby. Loki moaned something inaudible, as if to tell Kisa to shut up. Kisa couldn't wait to finish it's nest

Baby picked up a can of... silly string? It was still full and coated in dust. The label had long since faded. He then pointed to the camp site; wanting to see if Kisa wanted in on the fun.

Kisa cocked it's head in curiousity, then fluttered down onto Baby's shoulder. It was as if it was saying: "You already woke me up. Why not?"

Baby tried a smile, revealing his huge fangs. He ran over to Annabelle. He silently crept up and broke the seal on the can.

Kisa landed on top of the can, and pressed weight on it. Silly string decorated Annabelle's face, in the shape of a mustache. Surprisingly, the can was silent, so she didn't wake.

Baby bent his head back in a silent laughter. He gently set the can by Annabelle and scampered away. He looked at the large stuffed animals sitting on top of the shelves. He looked from Lily to a plushie and an idea formed in his mind.

Kisa stared at the can, but abandoned it to join Baby, tweeting with excitement. It's blue feathers were ruffled.

Baby started to climb the shelves. He picked up a large duck and struggled beneath its weight. He stood at the edge, measuring the distance to Lily.

Baby looked at Kisa before tossing the plushie right on top of Lily. The duck's eyes were enches from her head. He jumped back beside the bird and stuck his head out to see the reaction.

Lily had been sleeping peacefully in her warm sleeping bag, dreaming of.... "Holy fuck!" She yelled, screaming at the top of her lungs as a big fluffy duck landed on her softly. Her feet scrambled to Loki's bench where she grabbed his sword, and chopped the stuffed animals head off, then proceeded to whack at the monstrosity until it was just a big mess of yellow fluff.

Baby slowly slinked into the darkness. His yellow eyes were a small flash in the dark store. He leaped over to the next shelf.

"Duck?" Loki repeated. Was he dreaming? Who would wake him up in the middle of the night, terrified of a duck. Half asleep, he mumbled. "There are no ducks. Go back to sleep."

Lily grumbled something about fucking ghost, then pushed the duck fluff over to the fire pit, stricking a match from the box kept beside the wood chunks, and set the damned thing on fire. With a triumphant smile, she moved her sleeping bag away from the stuffed animals and snuggling back inside it.

Baby picked up a soda bottle unknowing of its capabilities. He began a little shopping trip, pushing a cart around with all of his might. The bottle began shaking uncontrollably. He kept adding more and more when he finally sat on a cart full of shaken soda bottles. He smiled a shadowy intimadating shadow when his claw picked off a cap. Like a chain reaction, they all started blowing the cart through the aisles. He hung on when his strength left him and he flew back into a sack of potatoes. The cart blew away, spraying the drinks all over the store much to Baby's dismay.

Lily was waken once more, by the sticky slap of coke on her face. She sat up in her sleeping bed, and let out an angered yell. Standing up so quickly that it ripped her sleeping bag, she grabbed a small pocket knife that she kept with her when she went hunting and ran into the isle. "Someone better 'fess the hell up, or im slashin the next fuckin thing I see!" Her country accent took over her voice, like it did when she got mad.
