ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct.

Loki and Ari were side by side as they fought off the biggest hoard of shadows they have ever faced. Although they were mortal enemies, that wasn't the first thing on their mind. Ari blinked. "We won't survive." he murmured. Loki looked at him, and then looked at a panic room in the ground for emergencies.

All three triplets were trying to fight the shadows, but there were too many. They were clearly losing.

Reuben and Cloud were running. Shadow dogs were leading the rest of the horde. Cloud dropped a vile and blew right as the hounds stepped over them. A valgon swooped down when a kunai stuck in its head and landed in a gloved hand. Kai had been following them. The trio ran to Loki and Ari in a desperate sprint. Suddenly a claw sprouted through Cloud's neck, but he turned around and slashed it, the wound healing over. Cloud stumbled and then started to run again.

Fallyn's hands scooped from side to side, slashing at hundreds of bodies in her way. More and more kept appearing. She was trying to make it to the group. She was so very close.

Amethyst found herself spinning her scythe around her, slicing a big hole through the shadows. She was scared, her body shaking, Were they getting smarter? she wondered.
Annabelle raced to be with Cloud. She didn't like the giant swarm of shadows. The hilt of her sword smashed into the faces of many shadows as did the blade.

Loki gulped. "Alright! Everyone evacuate to that panic room!" he said pointing to the tunnel. "We can't win right now!"

Amethyst raced off to them. She jumped in after Ari.
Annabelle stuck beside Cloud. She wanted to make sure he'd be with her. But a shadow clawed at her dress, tripping her. She fell, holding out her arms to catch her. The same claw punctured through her leg.

Fallyn raced faster as soon as everyone started heading towards the panic room. She soon reached them, and jumped in the panic room as well.

Cloud killed the shadow and sheilded Annabelle from the other shadows that began to catch up. He looked to Annabelle desperately and grabbedone of Annabelle's arms and draped it over his shoulder. He looked at Loki expectantly.
Reuben's eyes widened and he ran beside Amethyst into the Panic Room. His heart seemed like it was going to jump out of his chest.

Annabelle winced. "I-I'm so sorry!" she tried to walk on the leg but it gave out. She sighed and moved with them.
Amethyst jumped out of the panic room and raced to help the three. "Hurry!"

Loki got to the room with Cloud, and lowered Annabelle to Amethyst.

Loki kicked Cloud down to the room and followed, locking the door. It was pitch black in the room, but Loki flipped a switch. A light flicked on, revealing a narrow but long room.

Cloud landed on his feet clumsily before sitting with Annabelle, grabbing her hand.
Reuben stared at the door solemnly when he noticed movement in a dark corner. Kai took out his gun when Reuben ran forward and picked it up.
"Baby! I thought you were dead!"
