ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct.

Pushing open the doors, Odin stood in front of a crowd of half-blood women, screaming for him. He sighed, blinking. His father's queen died early. He hoped that wouldn't happen this time. He wore royal apparel, and a black crown.

Maori sat farther away from the screaming girls. She had been changed into a halfblood forcibly by a boy named Zathe when she lived back in Wisconsin. She had been brought back to the fortress with him later on and was forgotten. She played with a shadow spider.

Odin glanced around the crowd, and pointed straight at Maori. "You." he shouted. The girls parted, looking at Maori and forming a path to Odin.

Maori's eyes were dull. She stepped forward softly. She could only be sixteen or seventeen. The spider crawled around her arm and made its way to her shoulder.

Odin blinked. "You are lying." he growled, before snapping. A leech landed from the ceiling, hooking onto her medulla. "Cloud her memories." he ordered. "Reshape them to make her royalty material. Also, while your at it, make sure she will always obey me..."
