She suddenly realized how annoying that would sound. "Oh... sorry about that." She told him softly as she picked up the small piece of bread and took a bite out of it. It wasn't the tastiest thing in the world, but it would do for now. "And thanks for the bread," She said after swallowing.

The word 'torture' made her shudder, but she took a deep breath and stayed calm. "That's very true. Then it wouldn't be any fun for y'all, I guess."

Adrian suddenly balled up her fists out of nervousness. "You won't win. They know how to defend themselves. They'll beat your little 'raiding party.'" She was silent a moment. "And besides, I had nothing to do with their little hostage. And I bet he wouldn't have been captured if he wouldn't have tried to mess with me."

Adrian watched Calder for about a minute or so to try to think of another topic to talk about, but now she couldn't bring herself to speak. She just wanted to be by herself for a while now that she had so many things to worry about. "Well, I'll just let you sleep." She whispered as she scooted back against the wall and looked up at the ceiling.
