ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct.

Suddenly a flash of auburn hair could be seen to the right of a tree. If you looked close enough you could make out a small lean body, creamish colored skin. And dirt streaks across her body. The small girl had big brown eyes hidden under long dark lashes. The girl started her way toward Melonie, her eyes fixed and a small smirk on her face. Suddenly she was right next to her. "Hi." She said with a smirk across her dirt streaked face. Her voice was thick with a british accent that suited her heartshaped face.

Lily watched silently from the top of a tree. Her black hair blended well with the dark brown and green colors, and her dark bangs covered her unusual purple eyes. She held a bow and arrow at the ready, crouched. With interest she watched the two girls, unnoticed.

Melinoe jumped slightly, then glared at the girl. She was unusually dressed in all black, contrasting her turquoise outfit, and she looked exactly like Danielle, other than her eyes. "Who are you?"

Aly's face didn't shange. She was a slightly prettier, tomboyish vesion of her twin Emmy. She felt the strange feeling of eyes burning into the back of her head, but when she looked around it was only wind rushing past her. "I'm Aly." She replied in a strong steady voice. She pulled the bottum of her shirt down hoping that way she wouldn't see the long, uggly scars on her torso and back.

Lily cartwheeled, silently through the tress, swinging this way and that on branches. Thank you, countless step-moms for the years or torturous gymnastic lessons She thought, going as quietly as a squirrel and as unnoticed as a leaf among the others. So that one's Emmy sister? And that ones Danni's. Who to take? Who. To. Take. she thought, swinging into another tree with grace and ease.

Aly frowned watching the girl go the otherway. She followed her with black eyes that looked just as deadly as she felt. She stopped following her and sighed. "Of corse. Fucking alone again." She said mostly to herself. She grabbed her bow and a sharp arrow and aimed at the tree. With a nimble flick of her fingers the arrow was flying and stuck a tree trunk with ease. She shot another and another, soon she only had two arrows. She ran to go the arrows and had a stronger feeling someone was watching her. And who ever they were Aly knew they were close.

Melinoe let out her breath with a hiss and threw her dagger towards the ground angrily. It duh itslelf into the ground so that only the handle was shown. If someone just glanced at it, it would look like a spider standing on the ground.
