Swinging With Silence

Amethyst found herself on a road called Shell Drive. She sighed silently and sat down on one of the rusty swings. It creaked and groan under her weight but that was it. She started to move back and forth. She watched all around her. Not many shadows were found here which made her happy. She was tired of killing them. She hated all the violence. Amethyst went higher and higher on the swing. She had never been on one before. Never a reason to. She couldn't find any amusement but enjoyed the wind blowing in her face. Everything was completely dead around her, all except for the movement of the small shadows. She jumped off the swing and landed in a crouch. She could feel something coming.

And there was, as a couple of Possessors and Nightcrawlers formed. They hissed, and lunged at her.

Amethyst sighed. She grabbed her scythe and swung some of the shadows out of the air. She missed a nightcrawler and it clawed out at her arm. She winced for a second and got it back by slashing it in half. The shadows were gone and she was left with a profusely bleeding arm. There were four cuts that went deeply into her arm all the way to her wrist. Blood dripped down softly. Amethyst made her way back to the swing and sat on it. She sighed and stared as her arm bled, not making any motion to make it stop. Is this how you want to die? Alone in the middle of a park? Aren't you better than that? her mind screamed at her. At this point she thought she wasn't. She was always alone through out her life. Why shouldn't she be when she died? Her mind battled her though. You can have friends if you at least tried to talk. But no. You let your body swallow up your voice. You can scream and someone would come but you wont even try. Your not ready to die. At least I'm not, so cover up your arm and stop the bleeding before your body is all dried out. Amethyst shook her head. She could feel herself drifting. Blood dripped into the dirt with a plip plip noise. Like rain on a roof. She watched as the dirt swallowed up the blood's moisture.

A lone shadow danced across the park, snickering. "Go ahead. Kill yourself. That would make it easier on us...."
Out popped Zathe. His eyes were glinted blood red, and half his body was writhing shadow. He had no weapons in sight, just his wicked expression.

Amethyst looked at the boy. "Easier on you? How?" she asked. She was tired of never talking for herself.

"One less human." Zathe hissed. He had shadows all around him, ready to attack. "Surrender, and maybe we will keep you as a servant, rather than kill you."

"Why would I want to be a servant to something as repulsive as you?" Amethyst spat at him.

"I'm just giving you a chance." he sighed. then snapping, the shadows lunged.

Amethyst swung silently at the shadows. She looked at the boy. "Why would anyone want to give me mercy?"

"You said it, not me." he laughed maniacally, as a Nightcrawler swung an arm at her. It had foot long claws.

Amethyst moved but was still hit in the arm. She looked at him. "What happens to me if I do join you?"

"Your life is spared, and you can reek havoc on the insufferable world that abandoned you." Zathe answered. He took out a glowing black orb. "Just touch it, and you shall become a powerful being"

Amethyst thought a moment. She thought about her past. She wondered if Loki would be mad at her for doing this. "Do I keep my will power?" she asked.

"Of course. Though, your mood will change from time to time. It happens..." Zathe replied calmly.

OOC:I have a feeling Amethyst will end up killing Loki. Oh yeah, and just so you know, you could make another character if you wanted .3.

OOC: I don't feel like it. And WHY WOULD SHE DO THAT D:>

IC: Amethyst laid her palm on the glowing orb.

OOC:Because she is becoming a shadow. And when Zathe said her mood will change, it means against humans. .3.

Suddenly, her appearance changed. She became a half-shadow. Zathe laughed. "Marvellous!"

OOC:I will leave you to details.

OOC: .3. oh well... I dun think she'll go to that length; And what is she supposed to look like? Some goth chick?

OOC:No. I guess she just needs an evil appearance to her, like red eyes and a dark purple aura or something.

OOC: How bout she keeps her purple eyes and just has a red aura?

That seems reasonable. As long as it is a dark blood red .3.

OOC: Kay!

IC: Amethyst opened her eyes. They were still the same purple as they'd always been, but a dark, almost black, red aura surrounded her. She smiled at Zathe.

"Welcome to the shadow army." Zathe smirked. "Shall I show you the kingdom?"

She nodded softly. Loki still came to her mind. Will he be mad at me? She glared at the ground. Who cares.

Zathe raised his arm as she thought, and they both vanished.

Amethyst blinked and looked around. It was like one of those medieval castles but darker.
