The monster was dark, with red eyes. It's tail was the size of a 6 foot hammer, and it's teeth were massive.

It shrieked and swung it's tail at her. The ground felt like an earthquake.

Danielle backed away from the beast and eyed an opening between a thing and the beast. Lets be a coward and head for there.. she thought to herself, moving towards that opening.

The beast caught sight of Danielle and swung it's tail, hitting her.

Luna didn't take her eyes off the monster. She rushed it and swung at it's stomach, slicing a gash in.

The monster froze as blood spilled out. It vanished, leaving a red crystal.

Danielle fell back, landing on her back. "Crap." she groaned, getting back on her feet. She hoped she didnt have any broken bones.

The shadow king paced around the room.

Zathe walked in. "Sir.... bad news." he frowned. "The road monster was defeated. Any second they will find the whereabouts of this castle."

Danielle nodded, she remembered Luna picking up one similar to the one in her hand after Lance got stabbed. "Off to the castle?"

The king threw a dagger that barely missed Zathe's head. Then he thought a moment. "We'll let them come. Be sure no shadows touch them. I'll let you have the other one. Leave the Luna girl to Lance." He grinned.

Danielle nodded, then she glanced at the crystal. "Maybe the crystal will lead us there..", she ran with Luna.
