The remake of ATA, when the human race goes endangered.

ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct. This is the Prolouge of ATA. Help make the story.

Sitting on the curb of Solli Street, Loki sighed and tossed a rock. He had recently run away from Amethyst, prior to finding out about her half-shadow DNA. He winced at the thought.

Zathe nodded. "She seemed pretty upset when I talked to her. What did you do? You know what? Nevermind. I'm completely getting distracted." Zathe pulled out his sword(?) and looked at Loki. "Ready to meet Death?"

Loki's sword cut threw Zathe's arm. The wound was nearly to the bone. Zathe gasped from pain but, unlike Loki, he stayed standing. Zathe's sword tip pointed at Loki. "Ready?" But as he raised his blade for the finishing blow a voice rung out.
"STOP!" Amethyst ran up to the two boys. She knocked Zathe's blade away from Loki and stood in front of the kneeling boy. "Please. I-I don't want this anymore." She looked down at Loki. "I understand if you don't forgive me but please know you really hurt my feelings when you ran away from me."
Zathe let out an exasperated sigh. "Make up your mind! He was almost finished!"

Amethyst blushed and smiled softly. "I regret turning myself into this monster."
Zathe rolled his eyes and clapped loudly. "What a beautiful apology! But so sickening."
Amethyst's scythe blade found itself in front of Zathe's throat. "Leave!" she glared at him. Zathe held up his hands, wincing from his arm wound. "Fine. But I swear on my king I will be the one to kill you both!" And at that, he evaporated, as though he were never there.
