The remake of ATA, when the human race goes endangered.

ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct. This is the Prolouge of ATA. Help make the story.

Ari continued walking also, until something made him stop. Down the street, a crowd of shadows charged. Their leader was humanoid. "Whoa..." breathed Ari.

Skye and Darren were trying to fight the shadows, but were being outnumbered. Shiloh ran past Ari, almost knocking him over, with duel blades. She joined Skye and Darren in the fighting.

Ari sheathed his sickles, following her.

Odin wielded a sword, and blinked, as shadows ravaged the few humans. Taking over the Walmart would be easy.

Skye was knocked to the ground and ambushed by a few shadows, but Shiloh and Darren killed the shadows and helped Skye fight off even more shadows, obviously they needed more help.

Reuben slashed a shadow and it poofed into dust. He stepped away from the Wal-Mart so the doors would close. and he pushed himself deeper into the fighting.

Cloud pulled out his cutlass and skirted around the crowd; heading towards the super store.

The shadows were progressing towards the Walmart at fast speeds. Loki guarded the doors, but Odin was running towards him, sword gripped.

Skye and Shiloh were side by side, killing shadows, while Darren was reloding his gun. While he was reloading, a group of shadows tackled him.

Darren blinked. He got up and started shooting more shadows.

Skye and Shiloh started backing up when the shadows started to arrive much faster. Skye, with emotionless eyes, started to fight much faster, making the shadows seem to go backwards, though she seemed like she was daydreaming. Shiloh did almost exactly what Skye was doing, but she fighted differently. Darren wished he had a blade so that he could fight better.

"Kill or capture any of the injured!" yelled Odin. He then collided his blade with Loki's. Loki took it easily, driving Odin back. Ari continued to hold his ground.

OOC:Usually prisoners are kept human. Though, often they are turned to slaves or are killed. That is, if they aren't rescued first. ;D

Odin fell to the ground. "You were always a better fighter than me." he hissed with a grin. Suddenly, though, he got to his feet. "Well, 'were'."
He uppercut Loki. Loki stumbled, before being kicked to the ground by Odin. "You little-" Loki couldn't even finish as Odin stomped on his hand, forcing his sword to dissolve.

Reuben couldn't get to Loki. He was busy wrestling with a large shadow. It was the same kind of shadow that had cost him the use of his left arm. With anger he slashed it through and started back towards the Wal-Mart, flinging his sword this way and that.

Cloud ran, jumping off of shadow heads and dodging shadows. He needed inside the safety of the base.

Odin revealed a mysterious vile. "Half-blood poison.." he whispered with a maniacal grin, stomping a foot on Loki's chest. "I'm going to kill you, Loki."
Loki glared up at him, trying to summon his sword, but Odin kicked him in the face.

Cloud was near the doors when he froze. Odin. His fists clenched. He ran up and tackled Odin off of Loki. "It's been awhile, half-blood." he said as he drew his cutlass.

Odin frowned. "I see. They put a shard in you too." he muttered, glancing at his own. "Well, stabbing your heart should be easy enough."
Loki looked up at Cloud gratefully, rubbing his cheek. He figured Cloud wanted to go solo in this fight.
