ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct.

Chelsea was sitting next to the road. She was picking up rocks and throwing them across the street. She should have been in the wal-mart, but then again she was hardly ever there.

Ari was walking down the street, back to his house. His cloak was over his face and his hands were in his pockets. Weapons were not visible.

She paid no attention to the figure walking down the street. She took another rock and threw it. Her bow was beside her, but had only one arrow at the moment. After the rock skipped across the road, she took of her hat fixed her hair, and put it back on.

Ari stopped by a lamppost, sitting by the curb. He was well aware she was there, but wasn't going to be the first to talk.

She threw a rock but missed where she was aiming for. The rock skipped over and hit the lamp post. She didn't pay attention to where the rock went, she kept looking down, and whispering something.

She looked at him as she heard him say something, but didn't quite catch. Her hat shaded her dull blue eyes. She opened her mouth to say something but closed it again, and there another rock across the street.

"Oh so now you care. Well I have plenty on my mind." She said while grabbing for another rock but they where gone. She got up wondered around to find some more rocks leaving her bow behind.

"I am not mad at you. It is just last time I saw you, you hated me and wanted nothing to do with me." She said going back to her spot with more rocks, and started throwing them.

"Hey Skye" She called to the passerby. She turned to Ari. "That wasn't weird, Skye tends to appear random places, but it is weird that her brother is not with her." She looked around and made sure no shadows where coming.
