The remake of ATA, when the human race goes endangered.

ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct. This is the Prolouge of ATA. Help make the story.

The doors to the old mall hesitated before sliding open to reveal a tall willowy blond. The girl appeared to be in her early teens and a bit restless. Of course this was the Apocalpse and everyone was restless. The girl looked very posh in her white flowy shirt, tight skinny jeans, red belt, and a bright red hat. The belt and hat weren't the only red things, in fact the girls face and once crisp, white shirt were smeered in human blood. Not the best site.

A tall teenage boy was stretched out in a chair, which he was leaning against the wall. Upon feeling the breeze from the opening doors, he opened his eyes, and closed them before doing a double-take. He leapt to his feet, then winced as he remembered his fractured ribs.
"Are you alright?" he asked the girl.

The girl's head popped up, stringy blonde hair matted with crusted blood. "I suppose, but are you suppose to feel dizzy when you've hit your head? Because if not, I'm in trouble." She said with a giggle before her legs collapsed under her and she wobbled before falling onto he back. Her eyes fluttering close.

Darren got down on his knees, leaning in close to the girl. Awkwardly, he tapped her shoulders.
"Umm, hey, you should get up," he muttered, hoping she would respond.
