She then trudged back over to the bench to keep an eye on Reuben just in case, but her thoughts stayed on Loki. Somehow, she lightly drifted to sleep as well, fatigue overwhelming her from the lack of sleep through the night.

It was hours later when Loki limped in, looking fairly okay. He held a weak smile.

Adrian woke with a start after hearing the door open. She looked at him worriedly. "What happened?"

"N-nothing.." he whispered, sitting down. He was sweating.

"No," She replied. "Something happened. What happened?" She repeated sternly out of fear.

Loki sighed and opened his jacket, trembling. He revealed a stab wound in his stomach, and blood stained his shirt.

She gasped, horrified. "How.. how did that-" She froze mid-sentence. "Let's get you to the infirmary. Can you get there?"

Loki nodded, and limped over the the infirmary. "I didn't see it coming.." he tried to explain.

"It... it's okay," She sighed, her voice uncontrollably quivering. "I'll.. I can fix this." She tried to reassure herself. "But you're the smart one with this. What do I need to do?"

"C-clean the wound." Loki replied, pointing to the bottle of alcohol on the table.

She nodded and grabbed the bottle, trying to keep her hands from shaking too much. She pulled up his shirt ONLY to reveal the wound before she carefully doused it with the alcohol. "W-what now?"

"Well." Loki tried his best not to laugh, for not only was it rude, it would hurt. "You have to sew me up."

"Wait what?!" She looked at him as if he had just gone crazy. "You know I can't do that!"

"No, no no.." She continued to repeat. "No, I won't let you die. There's got to be something else that I could do.. something other than that!" Her voice (and the rest of her) turned frantic.

Adrian was silent for a moment, trying to reorganize her brain. "Fine.." She complied. She then got the supplies and returned to his side. Bile rose in her throat at just the thought at using the needle. "You can do this..." She told herself.

She slowly placed the needle on his skin and tried to add enough pressure to push it through, but she stopped. "No, I can't do this..." She muttered, tears forming in her eyes and already running down her cheeks.

Loki smiled. "I believe in you Adrian. Remember our promise. We will try our best to keep our team alive." he took a breath. "I...love you Adrian.."

OOC: I think that's more satisfying for sleepy than it is for me :P

At hearing those words, it's like Adrian's heart was doing back flips. No one other than her parents on occasion had ever said that to her before, especially when it came to the guy she thought she loved as well. A big grin appeared on her face and confidence streamed through her. Finally overcoming her fears, she began to sew up the wound, but every time the needle pierced his skin, she flinched. When she was done, she looked at her work. It wasn't the best, but it had definitely helped. "There." Her voice shook like crazy, but she had never been happier in her life.

Loki smiled. "Nicely done." he commented, looking at the stitchings. He relaxed, laying back and closing his eyes. "I knew you could do it...."
