ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct.

Bella's Arrival.

A small blond girl stumbled outside of the Wal-Mart. She had been sitting in the ditch outside for a while, and had and finally she had decided to go inside. She had not taken one step when three nightcrawers emerged from the ground. She screamed, and pulled her gun out, closing her eyes and shooting three bullets killed the three shadows, in which five more replaced the open space. She screamed again, and shot at the shadows.

A flash of black flew out and Baby was tearing at one of the Nightcrawler's faces. The Nightcrawler puffed into smoke, and Baby stoof there, ready to attack the girl.

"Hyah!" a boy called, as a spear impaled a shadow. Sorren retrieved his weapon, and spun it, ready to kill more.

"Oh my God! It's a baby one. Holy crap. Someone help!" Bella didn't shoot Baby, because he had killed the nightcrawlers. Instead, she put her gun in her butt pocket, and held her hands infront of her face.

Adrian rushed out to see what was going on. She had heard the gunshots thinking it might have been Lance instead of the blond girl. Finally she was at the girl's side, pushing her back to stand in front of her and join the fight against the shadows. "Stay back!" She shouted, unsheathing her sword against her shoulder's painful protests.

Reuben rushed out and snatched Baby up in his arm. With a swift hand he tied Baby to a tree and twirled his sword, killing a shadow.

"WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE." Bella hadn't seen anyone since the Apocaylpse had started, and it had taken it's toll. She shot a shadow closing in on Reuben, and tucked her hair behind her ear, taking out two with one bullet. She looked around.

Adrian glanced around looking for any traces of other shadows but she saw none. Carefully she put her sword away and turned to face the girl. "I'm Adrian Galloway." She said meekly.

Bella backed away from her hand. "Who, what? Are you a zombie of some sort?" A great dane, stood behind Bella, nudging her hand with it's head.

"Oh that's Baby, a well... baby shadow that he and Amethyst found a while back," Adrian told Bella, ignoring the huge dog. "And we're the Walmart gang. Humans that are going against the Shadows and their King."

Adrian smiled at Bella after giving Reuben an apologetic look. "Of course! Anyone is welcome! Because we need as much help as we can get.." She said, trying to move the conversation along away from Amethyst for Reuben's sake.

Bella looked at the three people standing outside. "You're coming inside right? Those shadows are bound to come back." She wrapped her arms around herself.
