ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct.

Skylar soon caught up to him, she started to catch her breath. "What's... up?" She asked before looking over at the bushes and glaring.

Suddenly two long, tan legs waltz out of the bush. A girl with waist length black hair and dark brown eyes looked at them. "Why hello." She purred, fluttering long eyelashes, and placing dainty hands on curvy hips.

"There's no need to be afraid." Alyss said. "I came to tell you something." Said the American Indian girl, smiling with glossy red lips. "I'm sure you'd want to know what it is, but you won't get to if you kill me." Her smile slid into a pout, and she shook her head ever so slightly.

Skylar gulped. She really didn't want to keep the girl alive. But if there was something they should know then they should let her live. She felt herself touch Reuben.

Reuben got comfort from Skylar and calmed a little bit. It couldn't hurt to hear what she had to say. "What is it?"

Alyss smiled. "I don't really think you have notice, but there's someone a foot." She purred, forming shadowy figures with her hands.
A pretty girl

Like some are strung with pearls
Death comes soon
For this beautiful girl
The girl was suddenly strung down with thick chains, her hands high above her head, as another plume of darkness appear. A boy, taller than Lily, swing at her with an axe, and barely missing.
Left unanswered
Is her cry for help
And betrayal is all
This girl has felt
It seemed as if the girl was screaming, as she tugged her wrist at the chains.
The girl posses
A will that is weak
And soon enough
Forever she will sleep
A small shimmering black something was thrown at the girl, and her head slumped. Alyss sliced her hand viciously threw the image, as it dissolved into the air.

Skylar watched the images quietly. She was wondering about the boy mostly. He seemed to be what the girl was talking about when she said, 'there's some one a foot'.

Alyss smiled. "Considered yourselves informed now." She said, looking at her black nails. "If she dies, then we'll keep taking more of you." Alyss said, her dark, almost black eyes throwing darts.

Skylar was thrown out of thought. "Well. Can't have that can we?" she thought of something, wanting to get under this girl's skin for some reason. "But isn't it her fault she got captured?"

"Not really. We could have killed her on the spot. But no we're holding her captive. It's more fun to torture people before they die." Alyss smiled sweetly and unwrinkled the white tank top she had on. It made her look even more tan.

Skylar snorted. "Of course. You half-breeds... oh... I mean blood's, are always just big idiots. That's why we always get away from you. You stop to torture us instead of cutting us down. You'd think you'd learn by now it doesn't work." Skylar rolled her eyes at their stupidity.

Alyss boiled under the surface, but looked calm to the two. "You point being that we're strong than you, and that's why we can take the pleasure in torturing you?" She asked, standing face to face with Skylar. She then took two steps back. "But, you know, I could just poof away right now and go kill your little friend." Said Alyss, brushing fingers through her glossy mane.
