"We're part of the Rebels!" Reuben said, trying to jog a memory in Luna's mind. "You were killed and then brought back to life...? Ring a bell?"

"You people are creepy." Luna replied. "Well I'll let you come with me because you all seem very incompetent at killing even thought you have weapons." Luna walked toward the doors.

Reuben followed her slowly. Everything seemed so unfamiliar now.

Amethyst walked beside him. Annabelle behind them. Luna taking lead. "Now there may be a few zombies on the road. But just let me handle then alright?"

Cloud nodded warily. "Do you know a..." he couldn't remember the name when Reuben broke in. "Lance Gunn?"

Luna stopped for a moment but kept going. She ignored the question. She didn't know what to tell them about the guy she'd once looked up to. Soon a zombie noticed them. Its skin flung everywhere as it ran to catch up to them. Only to find itself impaled by Luna's sword. She flung the body to the side of her, flesh ripping and blood falling from the blade as the zombie slipped off. She looked back at the others. "C'mon. We must get to the Wal-Mart." She started racing off.

Reuben was about to ask again when a small sigh of relief caught him. The Wal-Mart. At least one thing seemed the same.

When they go to the Wal-Mart at least fifteen people were fending off a crowd of zombies. "Oh no!" Luna yelled. She tossed a few rocks at some of the zombies to gather their attention. "Lance wouldn't have let this happen." she replied under her breath. The zombies came toward them, blood spewing from their mouth along with some chunks of what seemed to be flesh and meat. Annabelle gagged behind her mask. Luna rolled her eyes. She charged at the coming zombies. A sword lay on the ground five feet in front of her. As she passed it she picked it up and kept the blade out to her sides. The ran through to the crowd, killing all zombies at her sides.

Reuben slashed at one and sighed irritably as it fell to pieces all over his shoes. "What I'd do to see the Shadow King-" He looked around wildly. "Baby!" He needed to see his shadowy man eating friend.

Annabelle rolled her eyes. "Can't you see that shadows don't exist here!" She started stabbing at zombies that came toward them.

Luna had reached to where the fifteen people were. She had turned around and was fighting back to back with another girl. The zombie's numbers were dwindling slowly but surely.

Amethyst raced off to go help the other people. She wanted to know what was going on and if these zombies were getting in her way she sure as hell was going to mow them down to get answers.

Reuben grimaced. He ran after Amethyst and slashed one of the zombie's heads off. He stabbed another and turned around to see Cloud with a raised cutlass. His eyes widened when Cloud brought it down... over his shoulder and stabbing the zombie trying to eat him.

Soon all the zombies were dead. Luna bent over to catch her breath. "Hurry inside everyone." she said. She waited for the others to go inside the Walmart.

Reuben walked in and gazed around his home. Or at least it was home. Now he was the new person all over again.

Cloud walked around, utterly bored now that he wasn't running for his life. He sat down inside, staring at the others.

Luna looked at them. Her white tank top stained with sweat, a hoodie tied around her waist with green camo pants and black shoes on. She seemed like she was ready for war. She manually close the sliding doors, they had been exchanged for sheets of metal. "Alright. Now. Tell me who you all are and how do you know Lance."

"I'm Reuben. I only know him because he started a Rebel Survivor group and... stabbed me through the arm." Reuben explained.

"I'm Cloud." he said bluntly.

Luna nodded. "I see and you say Lance stabbed you in the arm?"

"Well, he kind of changed sides and became superhuman..." he said, trying to avoid the word "half-blood" and trying to avoid the thoughts of Skylar being stabbed in the stomach.

Annabelle thought a moment. Is it possible that the Shadow King never existed?
