ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct.

Ari blinked and sat against the lamppost. He closed his eyes, waiting for her to be finished.

She added a couple more details, then finshed. "And done!" She said in a happy tone. The drawing was a dragon around a sakura tree. "This is my favorite drawing ever."

"I keep it in my pocket." he stated, throwing it up about 30 feet in the air. He caught it with two fingers, in a scissors position.

Suddenly, Ari held his cleaver up to her face. "My master sent me a note saying to kill the first 'Chelsea' I meet..." he whispered, turning the notebook to show the writing.

Ari looked behind him. "Sorry...it must be done." he growled, swinging his knife. Suddenly, an inch from Chelsea's neck, he laughed. "Nah, just kidding. I wrote this myself." he said in an amused voice.

Ari frowned. "Well that was a let down." he whispered, closing his eyes again. The apocalypse was the only time you could randomly sit in the street talking at sunset.
