The remake of ATA, when the human race goes endangered.

ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct. This is the Prolouge of ATA. Help make the story.

She had stopped outside the door and looked back, waiting for the others. Seeing Annabelle, Melody finally understood the seriousness of their predicament.

Lily walked cautiously behind Ari, Annabelle, and Reuben. She felt bad that she hadn't been at the fight when Casper and Cloud had both been killed, a tragic mistake that they were now gone. Apocalypses where not the time for fighting. It seemed a bit unreal that faces she'd come to know where now pale, waxy, figures, snuggled closely into a casket. She tugged at her black skirt, worn just for the occasion, and followed the crowd solemnly.

Ari blinked as Melody stood next to him. Loki took his casket in the front of the procession. "Everyone else, ward off shadows! Lily and Annabelle back! Melody and i front!"

Silently grateful at his order, Melody went with him to the front. The numbness of what had happened was so great that she was glad to have someone telling her what to do.

Lily feel into the backgroud and looked down at Casper's casket absent mindedly drawing an arrow into her bow. She felt hot, sticky tears spring to her eyes. "Emmy missed you." She whispered, as if she was talking about a reuniting.

Shadows stared, but none literally jumped at the offer of a few tasty humans. They continued walking along. Ari held his sickles high, for they were close to the cemetery.

Lily was glad as the Wal-Marters poured into the burial place. Although she was sure no one could else noticed, the cemetery rank of tears and death. The air around the group was still and choked out the words Lily had been thinking. Now she wished to leave the place. The longer they stayed, the colder she felt.

Reuben looked down. There wasn't a tear in his eye. His red, bright, eyes stood out in his black atire. Reuben's hair billowed for a second when the wind died, the blood in his face warming up at the absence of the biting wind. He looked around the crying individuals. Look what you did, brother... He looked back down. Look what I did.

IC: Annabelle stared at the ground. The tip of her sword scraped at the ground, leaving a trail in the dirt. She felt somewhat responsible as to what happened. It was her past actions Ari used to provoke Cloud.

Lily looked away from the caskets and at Reuben and Annabelle. It was so sad to loose someone, although she barely knew Cloud, and hadn't really talked to Casper in awhile. It just showed how fast life came and went. She pulled the coats collar up around her neck, against the biting chill.
