Lily walked back from the isle's of Wal-Mart, rubbing sleepy eyes. "What's going on Reub-" She opened her eyes. It was too quiet. And there was blood on her feet. She looked down at Loki, her eyes wide. "Wh- what happened?" She asked, sniffling, trying to hold back tears, with no avail.

Reuben stood. "Odin must have sent an assassin." he said gravely.

"B-but.... L-loki would've killed them! He should've..." Annabelle gulped. He was the only one able to heal people besides her. Now she'd have to do it all herself. What if someone died because she wasn't there to save them! She turned gears. "I could've saved him if I had been here sooner."

Lily didn't say anything, except look at Loki's still body, hands trembling. "Y'all. If Odin did send an assassin, how did the assassin make it through the door? I thought it was rigged." She said, teary eyes looking at them both.

Annabelle thought a moment. "That is only for shadows. Maybe he sent a human loyal to him or a half blood."

Lily's arms rose goosebumps. "What if one of us did kill him?" She asked, looking at the two of them, more tears springing to her eyes.

Annabelle shrugged. "I doubt one of us would..." she looked down. "How are we going to tell Adrian...?"

Adrian coincidentally walked over to see what all the commotion was about. "Hey guys, what's--" she stopped suddenly as Loki's lifeless body appeared in her vision. Almost immediately it seemed as if the world crashed around her; like someone had ripped her heart out of her chest and stamped it into the dirt. "Loki!!" She screamed as she dropped down next to him, tears already rushing down her face.

"He.. he can't be dead. He can't be..." She mumbled, hardly understandable, through terrible sobs as her fingers traced the sides of his still warm cheeks. "He can't j-just leave me like this..." By now her whole body was trembling out of fear and disbelief.

Reuben looked away. He'd felt that pain. It was just unbearable to see someone like that.

Lily backed up, and looked down. It was horrible to see Adrian like that. "I.. um. I'm going to go get that thing over there." She said, standing up and walking away.

Adrian ignored Lily and just continued to cry silently. After a few minutes, she attempted to gather herself together and looked up at Annabelle and Reuben with eyes turning bloodshot. "Who.. did this?" She asked with a voice that trembled as much as the rest of her.
