The remake of ATA, when the human race goes endangered.

ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct. This is the Prolouge of ATA. Help make the story.

Kross limped down the road, small wounds covered his chest and one on his cheek. He eventually came across an old abandoned looking walmart.

"Good enough." He said eyeing the building.

He walked up to the entrance and peered inside. He felt a chill run down his spine. In the state he was in, a shadow would be bad. He took a few steps to the side and leaned against the wall next to the doorway. If there was a shadow in there, he wouldn't risk going in. He'd wait for someone to come in our out.

It just so happened that a short girl, with fiery red hair and a cast iron skillet came in, looking fierce and excited. A dead rabbit was in her hand, and a couple of leaves stuck in her hair. She jumped in front of the door, which slid open in response, and walked in, humming loudly.

He watched as the girl simply walked inside without fear, holding a dead rabbit.

"Must be safe then." He stated to himeself.

To his surprise the girl didn't notice him or simply did not care. He stood infront of the automatic door wich slid open, revealing a large area with sleeping bags in it.

"Hello?" He said as he stepped inside.

Another girl, with a very small and thin frame appeared in front of him. Only this time she did notice the boy. Her mossy green eyes were narrowed in suspicion, the corner of her mouth turned down. Her fierce expression was pinned on him, as well as her gun. "You know... It's rude to just walk right in without knocking..." She said fiercely her deep auburn locks pushed away from her face by an un welcoming gust of air. "So, you must have a reason for coming here. Who sent you? Do you work for the Shadow King?" The girl said laying question after question on him like a blanket.

Reuben walked cheerily behind her, despite all of the trouble with him lately. Who knew when he'd break down?
"Don't be so unwelcoming! Baby hasn't tried to eat his face, so he's human at least." he said cheerily, outstretching his only good hand. "You aren't another assassin, are you?" he asked in a more serious tone of voice. A shadow aura built around Reuben when Baby uncloaked himself with a menacing growl. Baby the shadow. He was the size of a chicken, much too small for the others of his kind for the lack of human flesh.

Marti popped up behind Reuben's shoulder, wielding her iron skillet. "Hiya! I think he's fine. I don't even see a weapon on him. Come on Joy, don't be such a killjoy!" She giggled, letting her "weapon" slid down from the defensive position.

Kill joy? An offended look appeared on Joy's face as she stumbled back. Well then. "Sorry, just never know who you can trust. One of our very own was killed by a 'human'." She spat mention Loki and rolling her eyes. But after looking the boy over Joy smiled and extended a hand. "Joy." She said with a simple smile.

He shook hands with joy quickly. "kross. And sorry to hear about this guy. Assassins are sad excuses for survivors, they turn evil thinking it's there only way to survive," He said. " But enough about that, do you guys live here?"

He gave a sigh of relief he had found other survivers. He unclipped his sheathed blade from his back and held it in his grip.

"Is it okay if I crash here for a bit? I've been running from shadows for to long..." He said tiredly. "If you'd like I could explain what happened, but not tonight... maybe tomorrow."

(OOC: As in litteraly tommorow if i can get on)
