ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct.

Amethyst crawled past Loki silently and walked around the front room of the Walmart. For once she felt comfortable where she was.

Amethyst slipped out of his grip and smiled. Her pad was already out.

The small girl's grip on the gun loosened, but her black eyes stayed hard on her face. "Well since your not a shadow.. I'm Emmy. I'm part of this 'Walmart Gang' that fights shadows or what ever." her voice was soft but had a tough meaning to it.

A grin flickered over the tiny blonde's face. "Well there was more of us... of corse I'm not sure what happened to Luna and Lance. Maybe they ran off or something." she said quietly and smiled again, more forcefull. She nodded painfully at Melonie and kept her finger loose on the triger.

A smal tear ran down her cheeck. She quickly wiped it away and shrugged. Her eyes turned black and she swirled the gun around on her finger. Her perfectly even heart shaped face tightened and she turned away. "Leave. Your probably better off as a half blood, or what ever they keep running off and becoming." she snapped back and covered her mouth too.

TEmmy frowned and hugged her knees to her chest. Alone again, go figure. She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair and shakily held the gun up to her heart shaped head.
