ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct.

"Hyah!" a voice called. A shadow's smoky ashes floated in the air, as Loki uppercut it. He was still getting used to it, though, it seemed instinctive how to use it.

A small girl watched from a distance. So maybe she wasn't the only living human. She narrowed her eyes, maybe he was a shadow. Maybe it was all a trap. She decided to go see for her self and headed over toward him quietly.

Loki held out his hand, and let his sword disintegrate into the air. He didn't seem to see the girl, and walked away casually.

That is exactly what he did. He made a 180 with his heels, sword in his hand when he was complete. "Oh,Amethyst!" he quickly made it disappear.

"Hmm, I was just killing some of those odd shadow creatures." he put a finger to his chin as if pondering something. "They seemed reluctant to attack me.."

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a window mannequin rushed up the street with a knife. Loki's eyes widened. "W-what the hell?!"

Amethyst's scythe was already out and she raced at the mannequin. She sliced it silently into pieces.

Out of the mannequin popped a Possessor, who cackled and hoveered over Loki. He blinked. Nothing was happening. "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!" the Possessor hised. Loki grinned. "Well Well,pal,showtime's over." he said, slashing the shadow.

The small girl shifted her weight with an awkward expression on her face. She moved her thick hair behind her shoulder and ran off with a flash of auburn hair.

Loki immediately ran also, and with great speed, tackled her to the ground. "Calm down,we aren't shadows." he huffed.
