ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct.

The Shadow King, in the form of a middle-aged man, raised his hand. Suddenly, a tentacle shot out, and wrapped around Amethyst's neck.

The impact left a whole in the wall. Something the king purposely made so she could leave his presence. He appeared under her, uppercutting her with a punch.

Amethyst opened her mouth to make some noise but nothing came out except for blood. She flew into the hole and landed on the ground with a giant THUD. She sat up and rubbed her head with her and before grabbing her scythe, which was still tied to her back. She charged back into the hole and attempted to slice the Shadow King, her red aura blazing.

It was futile. The shadow king slunk into the ground and reappeared behind her, kicking her in the back.

Amethyst fell to the floor. A stray rock from the wall cut into her cheek. She gulped and turned to face the king. He was strong and she knew she couldn't beat him alone. No wonder why Zathe is still controlled by him.

Amethyst refused to run from a fight. Her black eye showed that he was exactly like her father. If she ran it would prove she was still letting her father scare her. She looked over at Zathe before standing and moving her scythe into a ready position.

"Alright, you stubborn fool." the shadow king hissed, a blade appearing in his hand. He charged, but something clashed with his sword. That, was Zathe's daggers.
"You useless bastard! What are you doing, Zathe?" the king roared. Zathe didn't answer, and turned to Amethyst. "R-run..." he pleaded, wincing.

Zathe was knocked to the ground, as the king snapped. Immediately, two parashadows dragged an exhausted Zathe away.
