Luna smiled and stood up, her breathing recovered. "I'm not ready to go home yet. This monster was here for a reason. I think it was guarding something."

Lance nodded and stood up a few moments after her. "It might lead us closer to stopping the shadows." he said, determined to find the treasure.

Lance grinned and trekked on. "There might be shadows we haven't even heard of down here!" the very thought turned his spine to ice. He gripped his holster.

"We need to see what is around the corner before we turn it." Lance said. He edged up to the wall, and peeked around it. A violet crystal was on a pillar. Hieroglyphics Lance never saw when he was here before the apocalypse shone on the walls. "All clear.." he reported.

Clink! Some shady figure landed behind them, and frowned. He was in the darkness, so you couldn't see what he looked like.
