"Much worse. A guardian." Lance sighed. "Mallix, the Mall Monster." He shrugged and opened the door. "Meh, my girlfriend beat him. I like to think of him as a giant skeletal dog."

His eyes widened. "A... g-giant skeletal dog? How absurd," He said, swallowing, and grabbing his sword.

"Yes, but he holds something quite valuable.." he walked in, to find an abundance of shadows. They had human limbs and body parts, and lay them in a pile. A monster sat in front of the pile. It was glowing purple, and made of something like bones. It had velvet eyes, and not much of an emotion, but when it saw Lance, it screeched with anger. "Hello fuck-face." Lance muttered, revealing a shotgun from under his jacket. He started shooting, and succesfully hit it in the eye. It screeched and jumped up, smacking him with it's tail. Lance flew into the wall, but got back up, brushing dust off his shoulder. "Not bad..." he murmured, loading his gun.

Jean nodded, and raced at the shadows. "I shall destroy zese, you take care of zee Mall Monster, Misteer Lance," He said, as he expertly kicked, sliced, and hacked at the shadows.

Lance fired at it's rib cage (which looked like an actual cage) and a small bone fell out. He dodged Mallix's tail, and climbed up onto it's back, trying to get to the top of it's backbone.

The Shadows seemed overwhelming, but Jean was relatively underwhelmed. They just kept attacking, and he kept killing them, oblivious to Lance's efforts.

Mallix struggled, and slammed Lance into a wall. "Augh!" he winced but held on, reaching for his shotgun trigger. It seemed like eternity, but BOOM!

Silence came, and the Monster split into a bunch of bony pieces.

The remaining shadows dissapeared, and Jean looked over at Lance. "Er... Good job, Misteer Lance."

Lance was gripping his back, wincing, but he managed to put a thumbs up. "No problem."

Jean seemed not to notice. Violet appeared out of no where, trotting up to the two. "Are we going to zees... Rebel 'ideout, place, zen?"

"Not just yet..." he walked up the hall, revealing a small room. In it, was a violet jewel. "Here it is." he picked it up, smiling. "Now we may go."

Violet looked up at it, the bright colors intriguing to her. Jean sheathed his sword, and heaved Violet up, and she fell asleep in his arms, quickly. He followed Lance.
