Annabelle's eyes fluttered open. "Oh um... I'm sorry." she gave an apologetic smile. "I must be going!" She stood up softly and dusted off her clothes before bowing deeply to him and racing off. But... I don't want to leave. she thought.

Skye sighed and walked toward the two boys. "Your limping. That's whats wrong with you." Skye said, trying not to sound stern. "You're obiously hurt. What happened?" She looked at him with eyes of amber. She stood, waiting for a response.

Jude gazed at her silently for awhile, face mostly void of emotion except for the hint of exasperation and irriation in his eyes. "I twisted my ankle running from a Shadow." he muttered. He stuffed his hands in his coat pockets.

Jude shook his head. "No..." he murmured. "I need to find someone. I can't rest until then." With a deep breath as if to brace himself for the pain, the white-haired boy started to hobble off again, but of course was quite slow.

Skye didn't want to upset the guy, but she didn't want him to keep staggering around looking for no one. "Listen..." Skye said, kind of softly, but loud enough for him to hear. "A real big thing happend. Real big. The apocolypse left almost all of man-kind dead. You don't even know if they're still alive!"

Jude sighed, shoulders slumping a bit. "I know..." he mumbled. "But I have to hope, don't I?" His red eyes scanned the area before him with a look of desperation. The only thing that had kept him going lately was hope.

Jude staggered painfully up, light on his injured ankle. "Maybe you're right..." he mumbled finally. Mostly because his ankle was screaming with pain now and he could barely stand any pressure on it at all.
