The remake of ATA, when the human race goes endangered.

ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct. This is the Prolouge of ATA. Help make the story.

Annabelle walked on the closest street to Ceres Lane. She was thinking about the boy she met the other night. He was weird and he made her skin crawl. She could rarely recall what happened after he awoke. Her mind kept showing his glaring eyes. Had they been mad at her. She snapped out of her thoughts before she hit a street light. "Whoa."

"Might want to watch out there. Next time you'll actually end up running into it," A voice called out. Its source was a dark figure standing in the middle of the street- the only thing that could be seen about it was its small shape.

"But then again, that might be a good thing..." The figure muttered before walking up close to Annabelle. It turned out to be a girl with light blonde hair that reached down to her shoulders who was dressed in a clean black shirt and brand new jeans. "So what are you doing around here?"

"Well fine then..." She said to herself, glaring at Annabelle as she ran. With a heavy sigh the girl walked over to the street light and sat down next to it, leaning back on it.

Adrian had been bored once again in the Walmart, so she decided to go on another stroll, but this time she was ready. She was prepared! Until she saw Annabelle running. "Where is she going?" She asked as she darted off after her.

Two years in track payed off. Ari turned through an alleyway, jumping over and through trashcans and other obstacles. Though, suddenly, he slipped on a beer can. "Shi-"
He couldn't even finish cursing before hitting the ground face first.

Adrian finally caught up with the both of them breathing heavily. It had been a while since she had run and it irritated her. Then, she caught sight of both Ari and Cloud, but her gaze was locked on Ari but not his eyes. "It's you!" She shouted.

Adrian suddenly pulled out her sword, anger building up and the guilt returning but it was worse this time. She felt like crying. Shaking away the thoughts, she focused again on Ari but didn't move.
