It landed a direct blow. Skylar went down to her knees. She refused to be out for the count though. She recovered quickly and used her sword to bring herself to her feet. Skylar gave the Reaper a death glare before manipulating her blade to stab him in the chest.

The Reaper stared at her for a long time before the scythe dropped to the ground with a lound clang! It dropped to its knees, then dissolved with a long hissing sound until it was just smoke rising through the still air.

When the reaper left Skylar became unstable. What ever the hostility was it had left her. She was back to being a nervous girl. Her left hand automatically went to her right arm and she clawed.

Reuben walked up to her with surprise. "That was amazing! That was-" He looked to her arm and frowned. "Come on, we should go home."

Skylar didn't look at him. Her nails dug deeper in until crimson blood dripped. She was staring at the scythe the Reaper left behind. The spider feeling came back, pricking each vertebrate as it traveled up.

Adrian just stood there in her own little confused state. She didn't see anything, but she had heard the whole battle. Whatever it was was pretty nasty and she was glad it was gone. She then tried to think of something to say, but nothing came to mind.

A concerned look remained in his eyes. She acted so nervous when they ran up to her. He observed the claw marks on her arm. "You...claw yourself?" He asked worriedly.

Skylar finally looked up at him. She was confused for a moment but it passed. She looked down at her arm. She removed her claws from her skin, blood started pooling out more quickly. She looked back at Reuben and nodded.

He gently lifted her arm. He shook his head. "So, you do this everytime your nervous?" His eyes softened. "You don't have to hurt yourself like that..." He said gently.

Skylar looked down. "I-I know... I just get so scared... I want to scream but the stronger part of me tells me to suck it in and so I do... Well..." she looked at her arm. "This is the outcome."

Skylar nodded softly. She sighed and sheathed her sword. "I believe now's as good a time as any to take as many eggs that you can carry and get the fuck out."

Reuben smiled a little bit. He scooped five eggs in his arm and grinned down on them. The start of a revolution.

Reuben kicked out his legs and removed all the broken shards off of the window sill. He still had the scars on his leg from last time.

Reuben watched her leave. He considered following her, but he thought against it. He remembered how she snapped at him last time. BUt then again, alot of stuff happened that day. He let his gaze follow her and sighed.

He outstretched a single finger and lurched forward in a flying tackle, though he didn't mean to. "Tag, you're it."

The epic sock of salvation flew from Reuben and landed in the distance, where it rolled until it came slowing at a halt. Baby stood, shaking his claw and sending up the friendly finger.
