Bella cringed back at Annabelle's angry voice, but nodded at Loki. "It's better to tell her now, then have her wondering about what could be happening. " She said.

Refusing to believe it, Melody shook her head.
"No, he's not," she said firmly. "I swear I saw him get up and leave. He's perfectly fine!" Her voice was getting dangerously firm now.

Bella still looked sad. If Melody didn't believe them it was her own fault, and she was going to have to face the fact that Sorren wasn't there.

Melody blinked rapidly. Pretending to rub sleep from her eyes, she mumbled, "I think I need more sleep." And as though making a statement, she rolled over, flipping her hair over her face and making her back face the group. With the pain and exhaustion taking over her emotions, she couldn't do anything but let the tears fall. They came hard, almost like a rainstorm.

Melody didn't move. She just let the tears run. They had just gotten to really know and like each other, and suddenly, he was gone. Officially, she hated the apocalypse; it had taken everything from her.

Loki cleared his throat. "I am afraid we have more bad news." he said in a melancholy tone. "It seems Lily didn't return yesterday. I fear she has been captured or..." he paused. "..killed."
