The smile on her face slide off as though it had been painted on and she had gotten splashed with water.
"I-I guess," Melody agreed, watching Annabelle leave the room in a hurry.

Melody's jaw dropped. Then, she drew back a fist and hit Ari hard in the nose.
"You complete ass!" she screamed.

"You're not sorry." Melody's voice had become a whisper, as raising her voice would result in it cracking. "I can't believe you." With that, she turned and walked off, running after a few steps. She disappeared behind a shelf and was gone.
