ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct.

Reuben stumbled around until he found where Skylar was hidden. He jumped forward and slung her over his shoulders, hoping to get out fast.

Skylar groaned. Her face was still bleeding. She realized she was still moving. The monster still has me! she thought. She started kicking and fighting.

Skylar shook her head. Her face hurt terribly, so did every muscle in her body. She felt as if she just got hit by a truck. She could barely stand up.

Reuben caught her and slung her over his shoulders. He walked out of the dark museum, and walked through the empty streets. His shadow popped its head out, looking dazed.

She finally took a deep breath, trying to calm her own nerves. If only Loki were here... "Okay, fine. But I can't promise anything.." She made her way over to the table where Skylar lay, already regretting she agreed to this. The two large gashes on Skylar's head and leg made Adrian's stomach lurch. "Okay," She said, her voice quivering. "I'm going to need bandages and... a needle and thread."
