Quickly cleaning the wounds with alcohol that was already sitting on a small table next to her, Adrian grabbed the needle and slowly started to work, barely managing to keep her eyes open. Then, Loki's words from when she had to sew him up came back to her. I believe in you. With a slight nod and a burst of confidence, she hurriedly and somewhat decently sealed the open wounds on Skylar's head and leg, wrapping them up carefully when she was done. "There.." She choked.

Color was returning ever so slowly to Skylar's skin. Her breathing was picking up a bit, as was her heartbeat.

She didn't reply. She was still unconscious. But that didn't stop her from dreaming.
She was back in the monster shadow's hands. Didn't this already happen? she thought. He squeezed her body. She could feel bones on the verge of breaking. Breath escaped her body but was shunned from coming back in. She looked down helplessly at Reuben.

Work done, Adrian finally crashed in the corner in a chair. Her own forehead was beaded with sweat from stress and her own heart pounded. It was over finally. "Okay.. I'm going to say this again. This is the last time I will ever do that." She breathed.

Skylar felt herself being pulled from the scene. She blinked. Her eyes slowly opened. So it was just a dream the whole time? she wondered. The pain in her head said other wise. She sat up, softly putting a hand to her wound.

Adrian glared at him, giving him a look that basically said 'are you serious?' before turning to see that Skylar was finally awake. With a sigh of relief, she closed her eyes, leaned back in the chair and smiled, proud of herself.

Skylar looked at Reuben a moment. "I was dead?" she asked. She was all confused. Her head was... mixed up.

Loki walked passed the door with a couple of fish slung over his shoulders, and a few seconds later, his surprised face peered into the infirmary. "What happened here..?" he asked.

Without moving from her comfortable position, opened one eye to look at Loki. "Well, Reuben rushed in with Skylar who was unconscious when I first saw her. Then, once again, I had to use that horrid needle..." Her voice trailed off before she shivered. "But I don't know how she ended up that way."
