The remake of ATA, when the human race goes endangered.

ATA-How it Happened
It was 2017. The Moon suddenly left it's orbit, and the Earth was a dark cold place. Millions caught disease from the cold and darkness, many became crazy and committed suicide, and many were killed by other things. Shadows. Shadows were wiped out when the Moon first appeared, after a meteor struck Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon kept them away. Though, as the moon suddenly disappeared from the orbit, the shadows once again appeared, and killed off most of the disease survivors. Now, only about 8,000 people live in the world, and there is a popular group of rebel survivors in New York City. These survivors are the closest in the world to the Shadow Fortress, and are the only ones that can save the human race from becoming completely extinct. This is the Prolouge of ATA. Help make the story.

The park was rather foggy. A few swings creaked in the playground, but other than that, all was quiet.

There was no movement for a while, but suddenly, a blinding force hit Melody, sending her flying. "Melody!" Sorren yelled, withdrawing his spear. "Coward!" he yelled to the open.

Reuben waved his sword around, clearing a little bit of the fog. He caught a glimpse but could barely lunge as he was tossed backwards. Baby jumped out, stuck his nose out, and leaped for the attacker.

The attacker slashed Baby away, stopping. "Oh, I'm terribly sorry." it said in a British accent. "My name is Slasher. I am the Keeper of this Park, and your killer. I am the head of the slashing department of the Nightcrawlers, and am undefeated."
Sorren grimaced. "You are a shadow, and you can talk?" he asked, gripping his spear. The voice rang out again. "Of course. Not all of us have the inelegance of a pig." it said disappointedly.

"Now, you die." the voice said. Sorren still didn't know what this thing looked like, but had an idea. "Reuben, cover me!" he said, and started spinning his spear as fast as he could.

Suddenly, the fog was clearing, and Sorren got a good look at the attacker. He was humanoid, with yellow eyes and a mouth half stitched. His claws were extremely long, longer than any nightcrawler. "There!" Sorren yelled. Slasher hissed.

Reuben met sword to claw with the shadow. He was locked in a battle of strength, and Slasher was bringing his own sword closer and closer to his face. Reuben dropped to one knee, his arm shaking like a leaf.

Sorren took the chance. "Hyah!" he shouted, stabbing Slasher. It hissed, and the fog returned. He held out his hand, hauling Reuben to his feet. "We aren't done."
