"I don't plan to." he replied, shooting another valgon. It stumbled to the side and clawed at him, missing his face by inches. Kai watched it crumble into dust before his eyes. "You'll pay for that, shadows." he muttered, shooting rapidly.

Ari put his head down again, lying face down in the twig and bracken. He hoped they could survive. Only twenty or so Valgon lived here, by the looks of it. The fighting was almost over.

Skye kept fighting, but then a valgon scratched her arm. Blood ran down her arm, but she killed the bird that wounded her.

Kai rushed up and rolled, grabbing his kunai. He stabbed at a valgon but he missed by inches. It tackled him down and brought it's horrible breath to his face. Saliva dripped down its yellow fangs and on to his cheeks.

Suddenly, a sickle was lodged in it's head. Ari was still on the ground, hand outstretched, so it was obvious he threw the weapon.

Skye went up to another valgon and started slashing at that one. But it took longer for it to die than the others.

Skye stared at the last valgon, which was staring back at her. But nothing happened.

Skye did nothing. The bird charged at her. Skye just stood there. The bird kept getting closer and closer, but she did nothing. But as soon as the bird got to close, she stabbed her sword through it's throat.
