Adrian had already started towards the subway's entrance. She itched to already be there, and something was pushing her to do it. It was that same feeling she had had for years. It was the guilt of not being able to help her sister. Maybe after saving Amethyst, it would finally go away.

Loki was about to protest, but sighed. They needed the help. The trio walked into the shadows of the subway, Loki having a flash-light. It shown pale, batteries still pretty fresh.

"So...what are we doing exactly?" His sword was halfway drawn, but he had a feeling he could trust these people. He took his hand off of the handle and looked around cautiously.

Amethyst swallowed, her voice going with the imaginary spit. She couldn't speak. This man had caused her to go through so much. Every time she looked at herself in a mirror or saw all the scars she saw his smile. The same smile looking at her now. "Your an idiot now? Can't speak? Should I just cut out your tongue?" he asked. He moved closer to her with the knife and she flinched backward. He laughed. That same laugh that haunted her dreams, her memories.

Reuben started to piece the whole thing in his mind. He crossed his heart, a thing he always did before he went on the offensive with shadows. He remembered his father telling him what it meant. It means that you commit to yourself, and yourself only. If you ever feel like you might not come back, do this tp promise yourself to stay alive... It echoed in his mind and he lost focus as he followed the two like some kind of dazed zombie.

Amethyst started to move but her father advanced on her and pinned her to the ground. "Now. Let's see that pretty little voice box?" And the knife cut into her skin. She closed her eyes tightly, trying to forget the pain. Wishing the police would come through the door. She found it hard to breathe.

She tried to think of where the freaky demon shadow thing might have gone, but thoughts were swirling around in her mind, distracting her too much. "I don't know.. Somewhere far from here. Where we wouldn't think to look."

A voice shot through Loki's head, and his eyes widened. A voice that was hardly noticeable when he was being terrorised by the shadow. "The warehouse on the town's outskirts!" he announced.

She turned to look at him suddenly. "The warehouse?" She asked, confused. But, after thinking about it, it made sense. The warehouse was definitely somewhere she didn't even think of.

How do you know that? Reuben was unfamiliar with the place since he had been on a long journey from home to see the Walmart Gang. It was one of the few groups of survivors that had not been all killed by shadows and left Reuben all alone.

Amethyst had tried to squirm but found it made it even harder to breathe. She stayed still as her father cut out her voice, the thing that had betrayed her when she needed it. The thing that never seemed to be present. She decided that her voice was never there for her and she didn't want it. She gripped the ground with her fingernails and bared through the pain.

She then took off towards the abandoned building, not even thinking to look back to see if she was with the other two. She was truly determined to get there and help Amethyst. Hang on.. we're coming to help you. She thought.

"There!" Loki pointed to a large dark brown building with which looked horribly old. It was fairly large, and had busted windows. He burst through the doors. "Amethyst!" he called.

And soon her voice was taken from her forever. "There. Now we don't want anyone busting in on our fun. Now do we." Her father had, for some reason, sewn up her wound. He saw the confused look. "I wouldn't want you dying on me before we got to the fun part." Amethyst looked down and noticed her scars shown. She threw her arms around her legs. The shadow grinned. "Now look at those. They healed quite nicely. But I think they want some more friends." He made a move with his wrist and cut a shallow line near her uncovered ankles. Amethyst winced. She heard her name and turned around. She tilted her head. She saw a police officer.

Reuben pushed himself in and swung his sword in front of him, prepared for some serious ass kicking. He saw the shadow with the girl and he raised his sword with a silent cry, and prepared to stab the shadow through.

Adrian ran in after Loki and Rebuen. Her eyes darted around, looking for the girl who had suddenly grown on her within the last few mintues.

Loki charged at the shadow. "Go to hell!" he yelled, and slashed his sword across it's stomach. It fell and slowly started to vanish. Purple shadow disappeared into the air.

IC: Black smoke left from Amethyst she swayed and landed on the ground with a silent THUD. She blinked and looked around. She wasn't in her home. And the police didn't save her this time. It was Loki. She started to cry silent tears.

Amethyst cocked her head at the girl. She didn't really know her. She opened her mouth but noticed the small bloody object on the ground. She pointed to her neck and the object.
