When all seemed to be gone though, the shadow reformed a bit in back of Amethyst. He transferred some shadow aura to her, to keep the illusion alive.

Amethyst blinked and one of her purple eyes turned black. She stared through it and noticed the Loki change into a police officer. She cocked her head and looked through the other eye. He was back to his normal form.

She glanced down at the object on the ground then back at the girl in front of her. She gasped, horrified. She hadn't even noticed the shadow reforming.

Loki looked at the shadow. "Come on guys. We can kill it." he grinned. The sword he held glistened jet black, although it usually was silver.

Amethyst turned around and screamed silently. She saw her father through one eye and a shadow through another. Which is it? she though confused. She didn't take any chances and she squirmed away from the girl and ran to go hide from the man/shadow.

Reuben slashed at it, beheading the shadow with a thrill. "That was fun..." He turned to Amethyst, not realizing she was mute. "You ok?"

Amethyst hugged her scarred and freshly bleeding legs to her chest and shook her head. Tears streamed down her cheeks.

"We need to help her. We need a first-aid box or something..." She said, her voice quivering. "But be careful. That shadow obviously likes to reappear." She looked around to see if there was possibly something in the warehouse she could use.

Loki walked up behind Reuben. "We need to get her to the Walmart..." he corrected Adrian. "No medical supplies here.."

Reuben realized that he'd have to stay with the Walmart Gang a lot longer then he expected. This wasn't like other towns he had been in. "She may not be able to walk with those wounds, or that fear." He stated.

Amethyst cocked her head. Pad? She didn't understand. She wasn't much for slang. She gulped but realized it was a mistake. She made a silent gasp of pain and grabbed her throat. It was wet. She removed her hand and found blood. The make shift stitch wasn't holding. Her neck was bleeding. She went into shock.

Reuben saw this and a wave of determination flooded through him .Reuben was new to the whole sympathy thing, so he just lifted Amethyst by himself. "You cover me, we'll be more vulnerable if only one of us can fight. And it will be faster, hopefully."

Amethyst felt herself get lifted. She looked at the person. She saw a police/boy. She'd never seen him around before. He was new to her. Her curious gaze watched his face.

Adrian followed behind them with her hand ready to pull out her sword just in case anything decided to try to sneak up on them. "We need to get back.. fast!"

Loki nodded at Adrian's comment, and soon, they were in the Walmart. The warmer air filled the place. "The infirmary is this way." he said, pointing to a door.

She nodded, finally feeling somewhat calmer. Urgency pushed her to keep going instead of relaxing in this safe zone. She opened the door to the infirmary to let Loki and Reuben in faster.

He looked at Amethyst for a breif moment before hurrying her to the imfirmary where he gently set her down. "Is there anything else I can do?" Reuben asked Loki.

Amethyst continued staring at the boy. Blood dripped on her hand and she remembered her neck. She attempted to get up and run.

"Get me bandages, please." Loki asked. "They should be in the room next door." he got to work on unfastening Amethyst's stitching. "Also, I need a needle and thread. I'll have to redo this."

Adrian nodded and hurried into the next room, grabbing the supplies he asked for. She came back quickly and placed the bandages and things next to him on a small table. "Here."
