Amethyst watched them as they came closer. She wouldn't let Skylar win this time.

Reuben bowed his head as he walked. He couldn't stop them, and he would have to lose one of them. His heart ached with sadness.

Skylar noticed Amethyst. "We'll won't have to go far to kick her ass."

Amethyst walked out of the Walmart. She made no sound.

Skylar smiled. "Nope. I refuse to have any chance that I could lose you to her."

Amethyst smiled sweetly. She was picking the right time to speak.

Skylar glared at her. "Are you ready Bitch? Oh wait. You can't talk." She laughed.

There it is. Her smile grew wider and her mouth opened. "You're all talk. And you suck at fighting."

Reuben's eyes widened. "Did you just..." He shook his head. "Skylar, please. I would never let anyone take me from you." He pleaded.

Amethyst held up her hand at Reuben. "This is what she wants. If it'll make her happy we will fight to the death," she looked back at Skylar, "and this time. I will not spare you." Her jaw was set and her scythe's handle was across her body in a ready position.

Skylar smirked. "We'll see about that." Her sword was out and she was ready to fight. She knew Amethyst was waiting for her to make the first move. She advanced. Her blade swung down, slicing the air.

Amethyst smirked. She thrusted her scythe's handle to block her blade. They collided, making a clanking noise.

Amethyst would not drop her scythe for him this time no matter how much she wanted to. She wasn't going to allow herself to die for the second time. If he didn't see that she loved him more than Skylar ever could, his fault.

Skylar jumped back when the metal touched. She's good... She went low this time. For the leg. But Amethyst's handle again blocked. Will I really die from my stubbornness? She shook her head. If she let such thoughts cloud her mind she'll be done for. But it was too late.

Amethyst was tried of defense. She swung her blade and it hit Skylar. Right in the back.

Skylar coughed as the blow hit and blood splattered to the floor. She stared at Amethyst as she dropped to the ground. "Y-you... deserve him..." she whispered.

Amethyst shook her head. "It's no use. I have damaged her spinal cord. If it helps. She can feel no pain."

Skylar's pulse stopped and her beat lasted a second longer. She was dead.

Amethyst frowned. Idiot.

"Skylar... please wake up..." he nudged her with his arm. "Please... Skylar..." he refused to believe it. "Skylar..." a tear fell from his eyes. "No!" he wailed. He leaned forward and kissed her for one last time.

Amethyst stood there watching. "Wait..." If this is how he reacted when I died and he attempted to kill Loki... Is he going to come after me?

Reuben cradled her in his arm. He thought of how empty his life was. He wouldn't have been there, alive at that moment if Skylar hadn't told him how sad she would be. Now everything seemed meaningless.

Bella sat up from the shirt she was fixing. A seam had come undone. She dropped the shirt and ran over to Amethyst.
"What's wrong?" She asked.

Bella looked at her, shocked.
"What do you mean she's died. I swear she was just here? Did you get attacked by shadows?"
She hadn't met Amethyst before, so she didn't know that she was a mute before Liz's surgery.
